“A man's gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.?/STRONG> "That does not mean a gift of money. That means if you have a gift to sing, and you sing, it will take you to where it's supposed to go. If you have a gift for administration, a gift for speaking; it will take you where God intended for you to go.? “A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, And contentions are like the bars of a castle.?/B> “That's a very good scripture for everyone who's trying to win someone to the Lord. You need to remember that you can't bring someone to Christ by arguing with them. You may win the argument, but lose the soul. No person, regardless of how deceived they are or how far they are in scriptural error, are ever going to be changed to your position by brilliant arguments. They're going to be changed to your position by the spirit of Christ that comes out of you. You can only love them to redemption. You cannot herd them to redemption.? “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.? "Look at the extremes of that verse: death and life, nothing in the middle. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. And then there's guarantee: those who love it will eat its fruit. You will eat the fruit of what you say. God guarantees that. It's just as certain as the law of gravity. If you jump off a building, you will fall. You will eat the fruit of what comes out of your mouth. You cannot sow wild oats and then go home and pray for crop failure. It doesn't work that way. The wild oats will come up and God let's you eat every grain of it.? May the Lord add His blessing to the reading of the word. - Pastor John C.
