Very good study for all of us. In 1979 in the woods one day God said what do you have in your hand? I had been depending on the Pastor's wife to play for me when I sang. They announced they were leaving and I was laying in the woods crying. God spoke to me and said for me to go get a guitar and I did. If we don't find fault with "our present abilities" and we listen to the Lord's leading we will learn from "how" He wants us to get out of His way and just become all we can be for Him. If we throw down all we are, just as Moses threw down the rod, and then we look at it, as it became a snake and something Moses drew back from, we also draw back and don't like what we see when we look at who we are. Then God said pick it back up again, and it became the rod again. Picking up who we are after God has illumined our vision, we then become the glove of God for His purposes and we do not look at what we lack, but what He can do mightilly through us as we become that glove of God. When ever I hear that question what is in your hand?  I always remember that because my hand is empty? He can fill me with Himself. Thanks for the reminder.
