Hello and praise the Lord everyone. I just want to leave a short but very important question to allow God to begin to speak to our spirit even more. This is something that God has dealt with me over the past year or so and he has revealed some things to me this week. So here goes.

The question is: "What does it mean to receive the call of God and what is that call?"

Be blessed everyone this should be very interesting. I'm praying for some deliverance to take place as a result of this study. <><

Thanks Saintsrighteous for this awesome post.

God bless you.

dalfrath.

(Psa 84:11) For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Thank you guys for posting, However, I should have been a little more specific when I asked the question. After thinking about the question that I posted and reading the responses that have been posted so far, I should have asked the question this way.

What is the INITIAL call of God in the life of an individual?

It doesn't sound like there is much of a difference but believe me there is. Hopefully this will clear some things up if not I will explain what God has revealed to me concerning this question, hopefully by Wednesday (eastern standard time U.S.) Be blessed everyone. <><

P.S. The learning experience is already taking place .

Praise, Glory, and Honor is due to the most High God who is sovereign. I pray that your day is a blessed one and that you continue to be bound by the will of God.
The initial call of God is definitely for us to live out our lives so that we would give Him the glory.
In "Genesis 1:26 - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

"Genesis 1:27 - So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

"Isaiah 43:7 - Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him."

We were created in mind to be like our Creator in character, with the ability to think and to create and also the ability to reason and to realize the difference between righteousness (our purpose and call to service) and unrighteousness.
Our initial call is to righteousness. We have to first be saved (have faith in Jesus Christ) in order to be considered righteous

"1 Thessalonians 4:7 - For God hath not called us unto righteousness, but unto holiness."

John 1:12 - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

I pray that someone receives this and really is blessed by it. <><

Mt 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
The initial call would be to repent.
