When you take your time reading Proverbs, different people pop up in your mind when you read each one. Don't worry, it happens to everyone because everyone knows someone who has "been" the way of the fool, or the way of those who lack knowledge and understanding of the ways of God. We are living in a self-centered disposable world where respect, discipline, and honor are far from the "knowledge" of the past two generations. Last night my mother called me. She is 87, has artificial knees and is ill. She had tripped on the recently done landscaping of her sidewalk, and had fallen onto the grass not too far from the road. People drove by, and her neighbors got in their vehicle and waved at her laying there. She tried to get someone to stop and help her but no one would. She had called me to say she had gotten one of those first alert things we see advertised. We have right now growing up in our society a generation of those who would walk past someone laying helplessly on the ground, as much as someone struggling with heavy bags of groceries. A self confident fool who has a wayward crooked mind, "finds no good." So everyone around him including his family, would be affected by his choices and attitudes. Because wickedness is increasing, we have to become stronger in our spirits in the ways of God and in His word, to be a man of understanding in God's eyes, this world's ways and people will shun and reject you because you represent an obedience that shows and stands out for righteousness and does not hesitate to stop and help someone along the way. The more words that come from a self-confident fool, the more silent the wise become to them. God revealed HIS WAYS to Moses, and the things HE did, (his acts) HE revealed to the people who left Egypt. The ways of a fool find destruction because they are looking for it, but a man of understanding has peace. Sad thing? It is our choice.
