God Today Devotions

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
 Isaiah 54:10

 The sun is always in its place; always shining. But there are times the clouds come rolling in and obscure our view; preventing us from feeling its  warmth and enjoying the light. Nevertheless, it is there, shining, doing what it always does. There are times, it seems, God is ignoring us. Our  prayers which appear to be unanswered can leave us discouraged. Just as the sun  is, God is always there; it is only our view that has become cloudy. It is our faith in the God we have come to know so well, and to trust so completely, which sustains us. He is there; He will never leave, or turn His back on us. He has heard our prayers; those clouds will pass, and we will once again enjoy the warm embrace of the Son.

 Prayer

I thank You for Your steadfast and unfailing love. I know You are always with me and that You have heard every prayer. Strengthen my faith and fill my heart with Your peace. Amen.
