Today's Scripture *November 13, 2008*

Malachi 3: 13-15
You have said terrible things about me, says the Lord.
But you say, What do you mean? What have we said against you?
You have said, Whats the use of serving God? What have we gained by obeying his commands or by trying to show the Lord of Heavens Armies that we are sorry for our sins? From now on we will call the arrogant blessed. For those who do evil get rich, and those who dare God to punish them suffer no harm.

These verses describe the people's arrogant attitude toward God.
When we ask, "What's the use of serving God?" we are really asking, "What good does it do for me?" Our focus is selfish. Our real question should be, "What good does it do for God?" We must serve God just because He is God and deserves to be served! Never serve with the attitude of selfishness. God wants us to serve Him because we love Him and want to do His will in our lives.

Jesus, we love You and want to serve You with our lives.
Give us a servants heart. May we daily ask, "What have I done for God lately?!" We worship You and give You praise, O Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen..

Bless You!
Love in Christ,
