How Precious Is The Pain
How wonderful the blessings the Father bestows
when we walk through the triumphs of life.
But multiplied blessings can also be found
through the seasons of heartache & strife.
How precious is the pain...not the pain by itself
but for the process we don't see at the start.
For the sweet, Holy Spirit comes to bind up our wounds
and bring comfort to our aching hearts.
And all the trials we walk through...that we never imagined
become what draws us further into His face.
Till God spiritually matures us by refining fires
and what's fleshly is slowly replaced.
All the heartaches that we would refuse if we could
become a goldmine of growth in our lives.
For we find God is with us when life disappoints us
and our spirits can flourish & thrive.
And how could we ever feel the solace of God
or know the refuge we would feel in His arms,
If He shielded us from sorrow, disappointment & pain
and this life was then free of all harm.
For it's hard times that teach us how to walk in His power
because we press on though we don't understand.
And how precious is the pain...not the pain by itself
but for the treasures we take from His hand.
