"There's A Light that keeps shinin"
written after I discovered my husband was unfaithful

There's a light that keeps shinin, through the darkest of nights,
when the evil over takes you, oh there's still a flicker of light,
a flame that grows brighter when you change your ways, for there's a hope that keeps rising from within.
This hope, you seem not to see now, all the beauty God gave you and me,,, now.
The darkness is blinding with the pride but still I pray, be still my soul, and get out of God's way.
There's a light so much brighter and none can compare, that shines as I am so helpless on my day of dispair. I cry for God's mercy, I cry for more grace,, Oh Jesus, I long just to see your dear face.
This light, of the world, like the cross on a hillside, is my Jesus, my savior, my Lord crucified, oh come to that light that keeps shining today, repent while there is time, Jesus calls you today.
All of this suffering, rejection and pain, while wounds are afflicting my soul, He took the blame, Jesus He bore all my burdens that day,,, so come to that light; let Him have..His way.
The flickering lamp that I know fill with oil, will shine through this darkness so in His path I must toil; to show to the lost world of broken empty days, this light, this precious light,,, we possess as we walk in God's ways.
Though darkness has blinded the eyes that once "see", and the enemy has robbed you of your calling meant to be...
I will hold up my light and hope for what could be,
When Jesus, with His blood on your hands, is the only light you "see."
Hear Jesus as HE knocks on your heart's door,,,for there 's a light... let it keep shining ever more.
