Every life that I created,
each and every special one,
breathed the life of each creation,
nothing spoiled or left undone.
Every flowing bubbling fountain,
every plain and mountain stream,
filled today with spoil, and rotten,
birds and fish are gone it seems.
When it rains the acid falls and
when the sky is full of gasses,
soon we know that life as we know passes.
Every pure, trusting child unspoiled
molested, beaten killed by sin,
brings a tear of sad rememberance
from the ways things first begin,
Look at my heart for it is still "needing,"
look at my tears I cry,
Yes I would die all over again for you,
but reach out and
make a difference if you would try.
Yes I would shed my blood to save you,
Yes I would drink that bitter cup,
Yes I would call you to fast and pray child,
Yes carry your cross, now take it up.
Some day in Heaven I will wipe your tears,
some day on earth you will know no fears,
Look at my heart for it is still "needing,"
look at my tears I cry,
Yes I would die all over again for you,
but reach out and
make a difference if you would try.
