THE FADE

The fade is an abstract area where our thoughts vary irregularly

The fade is that area where we lose freshness and vitality

We must be careful what we think

It is so easy to go into the fade.

Many time we start projects and plans with vitality and enthusiasm

In a little while set in excuses and procrastination

Enthusiastic red fades to mild pink

Projects go into the fade.

Parties hoping to go into Government

Outline massive plams for country wide improvement

When they become the Government of the day

Effectiveness soon fades away

Many plans go into the fade.

Where moral issues fired our imagination

After a while we may use specious rationalisations

Moral judgements may fade away

As we put issues into an area of grey

We have reached the fade.

Brothers, Sisters and Friends

We need to challenge our beliefs and intentions

Sometimes we need to re-fire our imaginations

We need to chase dull sloth away

To keep the fade at bay

Let us not permit  ourselves to go into the fade.
