WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING?
What are your children learning from you,
As they study your actions and all that you do?
Are they learning that Jesus is Lord of your life;
The answer to problems, and heartache and strife?
Do they learn, by example, to keep the Lord's Day
And meet, with His people, to worship and pray?
Do they learn, as they watch you, to put the Lord first
And share Him with all those who hunger and thirst?
Do you teach them to study the Bible each day,
To keep God's commandments, and watch what they say?
The time is so short, they grow up so fast;
But all of the habits, learned early, will last.
Dear Parents, be careful what actions you teach,
Before it's too late and you find you can't reach ...
Their hearts for the Lord, for they've gone their own way
And made the wrong choices, and wandered astray.
A short time, to teach them, is given to you.
Oh, make sure your example, they follow, is true!
