Project proposal for Sewing Center
Christ Follower Ministry (Regd), Faisalabad, Pakistan

Introduction and back ground of the Christ Follower Ministry:-

Christ Follower Ministry, Faisalabad, Pakistan, was founded in 1970 by Rev. Anwer Siddique (who has since been promoted into glory). Begun at a time when the community of Faisalabad was a lot smaller than it is now, the work of Christ Follower ministry grew as the community grew and continued to respond in obedience to the commission given by Christ to its founder to “GO?and “TEACH?“THEM.?Pakistan is a Muslim country and it was hard to continue it and it is still same as before even it is harder now a days. Rev. Anwer Siddique and their Board director members worked hard to save the souls. CF ministry works in rural areas. Christ Follower Ministry is working for the change of the youth and children in the society according to Bible. Today, Christ Follower Ministry is a busy mission-minded ministry overseen by Rev. Fraz Siddique. It reaches out to the harsh and often politically-torn countryside of Faisalabad. Lead by the example of the Christ who proclaimed the gospel of the Kingdom of God, healed the sick and fed the hungry, Christ Follower Ministry proclaims the Gospel through word and deed in the name of Jesus Christ. We would like to keep in touch with you for sharing and learning in this struggle and would also commend your participation in our ministry works. After Sep 11, 2001 the relationship between the Christians and Muslims in Pakistan badly suffered and eight Christian churches/institutions have been attacked leaving over forty killed and 88 injured. Please pray for Rev. Siddique and his ministry team and consider how you can be a part of God's work here in Faisalabad, Pakistan.
1. Ministry Works:-
Children and youth:- Christ Follower Ministry in committed to working with all members of their community, including Children and Youth to meet their unique physical, emotional and spiritual needs, by leading them to Jesus, teaching them God's Word and by encouraging them to defend their faith in today's post-modern society.
Women ministry:- Here women are honored for who they are in God and taught through God's Word that they have an important role within the Mission of God.
Women ministry:- Christ Follower Ministry is committed to working with adults who have low literacy and numecry skills so that they may be able to read and receive God's Word for themselves and that they may be able to gain greater employment opportunities and a more positive sense of personal self-worth and dignity.
Cassette ministry:- As a part of its Adult Education Program Christ Follower Ministry conducts a Cassette Ministry that supplies recorded Bible readings and daily Bible teaching to many low-literacy households.
2. Back Ground:- At the center of Christ Follower Ministry's work in the community is their attention to pray and to support financially for all who are really needy with ministry-skills. Pakistan is an Islamic country. Christians are only 1.7 % of the total population. There are another 2 % of the other religions. All the rest are Muslims. In fact Pakistan was created out of the undivided India in 1947 but unfortunately the Islamic religious groups gained power using religion as a tool. Pakistan-Social Development Indicators:
40 % of the total population is below the poverty line
67 % of the population is without basic health services
54 % of the total population is without portable clean drinking water
When this ministry was established Rev. Anwer Siddique (Founder of CFM. Late) faced many problems because of the religious bases Muslims always want to finish the Christians because they consider that if any one kills the Christian ALLAH will keep him in the heaven. On the other side Christians are also not seen on Good jobs Christians mostly elected to sweep the streets and because of the CFM faced many financial problems but we trust in God and our service is still going on with new projects.
3. Proposal of sewing center:- Pakistan is a Muslim country. Christ Follower Ministry is self-supported ministry, depends on the offerings of the ministry’s members. Christ follower ministry’s members are committed to do the work for God. No doubt CF ministry’s sources are limited. But this ministry is doing well as this ministry can by the Grace of the Lord. We have several ministry works over here in Pakistan; CFM looks at traditional skills as an opportunity for women to march forward. In the rural setting of district Faisalabad, it is not easy for women to get out of their homes if they do not have a sewing center. That center is a place where the women can come and meet and learn a skill. Most donor agencies do not want to help the sewing centers, they do not seem to understand our plight, and how important it is for us to have the skill of sewing. Every one of the women who belong to the group who knows sewing has higher status. If they are unmarried their chances of finding a better partner are brighter because they know the skill of cutting and sewing. In a country where the independent, economic ventures for women are very limited, cutting and sewing is an opportunity to grow and become more independent and to have a say in the family. Hence, sewing centers are needed where the poor can learn and practice a skill. A sewing center also becomes a place where young women can meet and discuss their problems, share ideas and become a team to face the trials of life. They also enjoy themselves in a group far from the restrictions of the male-dominated society. In the rural setting goat keeping and cow rearing is an important economic activity of the women. Perhaps it is one of the most effective to pay back loans and to do some substantial activity that cannot be done without this additional income. We want to start a sewing center in the area of Faisalabad, Pakistan. So we need you support because we all are the parts of the Jesus?body it is command from the Lord Jesus Christ to help the needy people. With this sew center project we can obey the words of Jesus Christ. You can be a part of CFM it’s all up to you how you can be.
4. WHY WE WANT TO START IT:- People here in Pakistan are living in abject poverty, you just can imagine. Out ministry is interested to remove this poverty from their lives but due to our limited resources we can not remove from the all Christians who are living in Pakistan If God bless us more we trust than we will but this time we have 120 students its mean 100 Family. In our Local area there are not only 100 families who are helpless but there are most families. It is just a small start to achieve the BIG GOAL. It is not a big start see, there are 5,000 Families are needy in deed and it is not a big start from 5,000 Families. 100 out of 5,000 its look like nothing but it is not nothing it is something ‘?something is better than nothing’? Main causes to start this project are given below.
The poverty level will be decrease, and women can know how to stitch the clothes.
where women’s are not allow to get out of the homes they will come out because the center is the place where the women can come and meet and learn the skill
After learning this skill they will not be helpless, they could work in any place to support their families.
Women will earn something by stitching the cloths so it will be helpful for their weddings.
Sewing centers are needed where the poor can learn and practice a skill.
If they are unmarried their chances of finding a better partner are brighter because they know the skill of cutting and sewing.
5. General Situation of the women:- In the last twenty five years the majority of the women were spoilt. Why? Because after 1977 till religious extremism was propagated and promoted and the women were the first target of the extremists. The women are still be raped by the Muslims people. Why? because the Christian women and girls work for the Muslims they are rich and they specially call the Christians to sweep their houses and to wash their cloths and Christians families are also helpless and they become agree to work for them after some time they raped the Christian girls and no one is there to hear their voices this is all because of the lake of resources, If there is a one Christian training center there is no need to go their houses to fulfill their need they can work in their on community and no one be raped. Upon the some time Christian girls become Muslim. WHY? Because being a person when they don’t found any help from any where. If any Muslims propose the Christian girl she become agree and accept the Islamic religion. Why? Because they see for that person who can meet their needs, and also there not satisfy with their salaries where they work for 6 hours every day and if they earn 800Rs to 1,500 Rs is it enough for an average family fathers are also job less so under these circumstances what they have to do. There is no doubt ‘’Mother can not see her son or daughter that her child is being deed before her’? They have no choice. Our ministry is committed to work for them in shape of Sewing Center.
6. Required things to start it
1. Rented house:- It is necessary to find a place where we can start it because in Pakistan it is culture rule that women’s have to work or study they will be separate, so seeing that we have to arrange a rented building which is cost 6,000Rs per month for an average house location. This project will be continuing for 3 years.
a. Rented budget

Time period Amount
One(1) month 6,000Rs
Thirty six(36) months 6,000 Rs x 36 = 2,16,000 Rs
.2. Material: - We have 120 students at the time of starting and we have to arrange 120 sewing machines for these students but our ministry is also committed to work for the women’s issue so we have arranged 40 machines. 40 sewing machines are required.
a. Material’s Budget:-

Machines Amount
One(1) machine 2,000Rs
Forty(40) machines 2,000 Rs x 40 = 80,000Rs Total
3. Teachers:- To teach the 120 students we have to arrange the 5 teachers. We have arranged 3 teachers 3 teachers are ready to do with out salary from our ministry’s board members. Each staff member’s salary will be 5,000Rs.
a. Staff salary’s budge per month:-

Teachers Salary
One(1) teacher 5,000
Total salaries per month 5,000 Rs x 2 = 10,000Rs x 36 =360,000Rs
4. Stationary:- Stationary will be used to make them understand how to cut the cloths and how we can stitch accurately. In this matter the papers will use.
7. Beneficiaries:-BU Total 120 girls will benefit directly from the project in a three years time. The parents of the girls will also benefit.

8. Ministry’s activity:- CFM is hardly interested to establish this sewing center. This ministry is self-support ministry. Pakistan is also a poor country so you can think how we maintain our ministry services. But it is doesn’t matter how much we have the matter is how we use it. Our ministry is committed to support this project with 40 sewing machines, and 3 staff members and also with all the stationary material this is much we can easily.

9. Needs:- To continue this sewing center project Christian students of sewing center needs the partial support for the sewing center. The support is needed to continue the work of CFM. Below is the budget for the act Total 120 students will get education in the GHSC (grace harvest sewing center) the help is needed for 80 students (Women and girls).
Final budget is given below.

Details Amount
House rent per month 6,000Rs 6,000Rs x 36 = 2, 16,000 Rs
