I am one of those who have been cheated on and subsequently got a divorce... I prayed to be lead to the right woman and found a partner on line who was professing Christianity and seeking the same.   We are now married and I am trying hard to make a family but keep running into obstructions that I had not anticipated though we discussed many things for over a year prior to getting married... is this because I should have stayed single until my first wife died?  Why wasn't I told, and is it now too late, have I lost everything because of this?  Can I "fix" this anyway?  Thanks for your kind attention and any prayers you may offer on behalf of all of us in this situation.  I believe my salvation depends upon what Jesus did for me on the cross, and I believe in my heart that God sent him to die in my place, and that He resurrected Him from the dead and ascended into heaven to prepare places for those He has saved.  I have and do confess(ed) this to men and believe I shall be saved per the scripture.  I don't know the "penalty" for remarriage, but as I see in the statement of belief of this Bible group that it says it does not believe in divorce/remarraige so long as your former spouse lives... Can anyone help me understand this and what if anything I can do now?  Thanks!

Right now it is around 3am where the founder of the group lives.. he will get with you as soon as possible. GBU

I could share with you my thoughts and views .. however it may not be exactly the way the founder believes.. and we are not a debate group... so I will wait for him out of respect.. before I put my 2 cents worth in.

Dear Bluise, I understand your position.   Since you were not clearly taught about marriage divorce and remarriage earlier, you may have divorced the first wife and got married to the second one -- as it so happens often in western countries.   Anyway, you
seek God diligently and keep ever close in his fellowship.  May God bless and protect your present family relationship and solve all your problems.

Than you dalfrath for your reply.

Bluize, the things of the past can not be changed.  What you did then you did and maybe you didn't know too much about the Word of God nor God's right way of doing things.

However, because of Jesus Christ... and Him shedding His blood on the cross for the remission of our sins.. there is hope... in going into your prayer closet and repenting for all past sins.  This is a personal time you need with God.  The Word of God lets us know that if we repent that He will forgive us. Repenting means turning from those things we have done in our lives and not do them again.  With God there is second chances ~ because of Christ Jesus.  God provided a way where there was no way... through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

What you or any one can do is spend time praying and seeking God, reading the Bible and thinking on the things discussed in it.  Checking our lives and see if we have current sins and asking God to help us to get those sinful things out of our lives.  Turning away from those sins.. and letting go of anything that would displease the Lord in any way.

Pray for your wife.. and also ask God to make you a good husband.  Ask God to help you in your job and with all the things you may be having problems with.  He will.

Love your wife.. study places in the Bible about how husbands should be to their wives.. it is there.  Ask the Lord how you can be a better husband to her.  Ask the Lord to help you in your marriage. Try to work things out and talk with your wife about the problems.  Don't pretend they do not exist, but reason with her and listen to what she has to say as well.  Weight everything using the Word of God as your guide and source.  Both of you could be wrong.  It is God's word that will lead you into the right paths and God's word has all the answers for most every question one may have on the face of the earth no matter where they live. God's word never changes.

The Bible lets us know that His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.  It is in studying the Word of the Lord that we learn how to make good decisions in this life.  The Bible is a road map.

Read the messages found within this msn group.. actually read them.. and ponder on them.. for the most part they are filled with God's Word and God's right way of doing things.

We need to get our lives lined up with God's right way of doing things.  Doing this is not over night.  It takes a daily searching and a daily time of spending time in prayer and reading the Bible.. to began to understand the right paths to take.. as God's Word will shine .. meaning through reading the Bible you will see how to do things in your daily life.. and what not to do..

One of the best Books in the Bible to read is Proverbs.. you will see almost in every verse some wisdom you can apply to your life.  Get a note book.. go through the Bible in Proverbs.. write down all scriptures concerning money... and think on them.. I know they are written down in the Bible.. but there is something that goes deeper than reading when you write it down.. every teacher knows this is true.  But, do not only write it down.. but think and ponder on it.. learn from it... then every so often go refresh yourself on the scriptures you wrote down.. are you doing it??  are you applying it in your life??? If so, think of how it has changed everything.. because it will.  Now I just picked money scriptures to serve as an example.. you can pick most any topic and do the same thing....let the Lord guide you and show you through His Word.. how to live here on the earth.. as well as how to prepair for forever through a personal relationship with Him..GBU ~ ?/FONT>
