What a life I've had since I met Him! I met Jesus 40 years ago and then went my own way.........it wasn't good for Him or me. Now we have been together for several years............and we keep working together to stay in touch-the word in The Bible keeps us very close to each other. Thank-you for hearing my short confession. Easy for a Stepen minister (me) and so hard for a two legged. God bless whoever reads this. And those that don't. may our Lord be with you forever. Tim

I have been in Michigan since July of '66. I married my first husband and moved here with him. We had 3 beautiful children together. He passed away in 1991. I married my high school sweetheart in 1995. We had not seen each other for about 30 years when we were reunited. It was love at first glance, again!!!. We attend a little Missionary Baptist Church in Troy, MI. I sing solos there and am so thankful God has given me a talent in that area.

My oldest sister, who lives in VA, was telling me about a song "He'll Roll Me Over The Tide" and I am looking for the music for that. If anyone knows where I can obtain it I would be very grateful. I did find the words in your Hymns & Songs section and would love to have the music for it as well.

things seem to be running over top of me i can't seem to get out of the financial distress and life just looks a little cloudy today but i have hope that things well get better

I just turned 56 August 29 and have been spiritually renewed for about 40plus years now. I have been a servant of theLord for just about that same amount of time as I felt a calling on my life soon after being spiritually renewed and even before I knew the Biblical facts of a "calling!"

Like most people I have had my "ups and downs" but through it all I have matured past just "believing" into the KNOWLEDGE of our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. I love the intimate relationship possible with a loving Redeemer and the fact that each and every day is a totally new day in which to strive to KNOW Him even more! I long for the day that the Apostle Paul talks about:

12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

I love the Lord's children, my true brothers and sisters in the Lord, but I also love those that are lost just as our Father in Heaven loves those wayward children and I long that all should come to know the Lord but I also understand that there are those who will perish even as the Lord continues to love them. This brings tears to my eyes and a heavy heart but it makes me to realize that time is of the essence for eternity is very close to all of us and time as we know it will be no more! So, until the Lord either calls us home or comes to take us home, we have a job to do and that job is best accomplished by DEMONSTRATING the Love of our Heavenly Father and then confirming that Love with His Holy Word as inspired by the Holy Spirit and confirmed in the Written Word.

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Physically I have been on disability for several years now, and that has limited my ability to minister as I used to in the "brick-and-mortar" establishments that I was used to doing when younger, but spiritually it has opened a whole new area of ministry that I was not aware of until a few years ago. It has opened the door to many "home-bound" brothers and sisters who have been "abandoned" by the local ministries. It has led me to realize something that I have believed for a long time, but now I KNOW in a real way and that is what Paul also writes about:

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

It is this liberty that I strive for not just for myself, but for my brothers and sisters in the Lord, for that and only that is the source of TRUE liberty!

I am honored to be a part of a couple of MSN groups such as this one and even though I have had my own website in the past and am in the process of starting one back up, I believe that as brothers and sisters we need to fellowship with one another to strive for the unity that the Holy Spirit calls us too.

1 ¶ I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,
2 ¶ with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

BROTHER KENNYS' TESTIMONY I WAS BORN ON DECEMBER 8 1966. FROM THE START OF MY LIFE IT WAS AS THOUGHT THE DEVIL WAS OUT TO STOP ME. I HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS THAT I WAS NOT EXPECTED TO LIVE TWO DAYS. THEN THINGS STARTED TO LOOK BETTER FOR ME, BUT EVEN IF I LIVED THE DOCTORS SAID, I WOULD ONLY BE A VEGETABLE AT BEST. BOT GOD HAD HAD HIS HANDS ON MY LIFE. IT TOOK MANY STAYS IN THE HOSPITAL BEFORE I STARTED TO GET BETTER.

FROM MY CHILDHOOD I TOOK AN INTEREST IN GOD, AND READ THE BIBLE. I STARTED GOING TO CHURCH AND FOUND SUCH PEACE THERE, THAT I KNEW THERE HAD TO BE SOMETHING TO THIS GOD EVERYONE TALKED ABOUT.

I EXCEPTED JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOR ON JANUARY 14 1990. IT HAS NOT BEEN AN EASY WALK WITH GOD OVER THE YEARS, BUT ONE THING I HAVE FOUND TO BE TRUE IS, HE IS FAITHFUL!

IN 1991 I WAS HIT BY A CAR WHILE SITTING AT A BUS STOP. I ENDED UP UNDER THE CAR BETWEEN THE TIRES UNDER THE DOORS ON THE SIDE. THE DRIVER TRIED TO DRIVE AWAY WITH ME STILL UNDER THE CAR. THE TIRES WERE SPINNING FULL BLAST INCHES FROM ME, BUT THE CAR DID NOT MOVE. THEN PSALMS 34:7 CAME TO MY MIND: "I WILL PLACE MY ANGELS AROUND THOSE WHO FEAR ME."

IN 1992 I WENT TO VICTORY BIBLE INSTITUTE IN TULSA, OKLAHOMA FOR MINISTRY TRAINING. DURING BIBLE SCHOOL GOD OPENED THE DOOR TO PREACH IN BIBLE SCHOOL. I HAD WRITTEN A SERMON CALLED "ANSWER OUR CRY" I LATTER WROTE A SONG BY THE SAME TITLE.

IN 1993 GOD LAUNCHED MY SINGING MINISTRY. I HAVE BEEN SINGING FOR JESUS FOR THE PAST 14 YEARS. I HAVE SANG TO CROWDS FROM 1-800 PEOPLE OVER THE YEARS, BOTH IN CHURCHES, AND IN THE STREETS.

IN 2007 I GOT THE CHANCE TO SING TO THE BIGGEST CROWD I HAVE EVER SANG TO IN MY LIFE, ON OCTOBER 21, 2007 AFTER 17 YEARS OF PRAYING I SANG "LIVE" ON TELEVISION FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE. IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!! GOD IS FAITHFUL!!

I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO A GREAT FUTURE OF SINGING FOR GOD AND SERVING HIM THE REST OF MY LIFE.

GOD CHANGED MY LIFE AND HE CAN CHANGE YOURS TOO. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT IS WORTH LIVING FOR, TRY JESUS, EVERYTHING ELSE YOU HAVE TRIED HAS FAILED, I PROMISE YOU YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED!
