Gee, I recognize your pic but cannot put your name with it. I am losing it!! Best thing would be to check the label on the package and be sure no sugar and preservatives are used in that mix. Tiny bites wouldn't hurt him even if they do have sugar but you sure don't want to give him a handful. I think that all canned and plastic bagged brand name coconut has lots of sugar. Chances are, this will too. Gee, tell me who you are. This is driving me nuts. Annie |

I agree with Annie. Most commercial "trail mix" has preservatives or is high in salt and/or sugar. I would only give my birds organic, or if the label was very clear about what the the ingredients are. I used to make my own. Egg shells provide calcium. However, they need to be baked to dry them. Annie, how long and at what temp? Abby PS Annie, are you telling us that you aren't already nutz?? |

Eggshells. 2 minutes in the microwave, watching to be sure they don't scorch. Mine is a bitty 600 watts so reduce the time for a more powerful microwave. I am well on my way, Abby. Annie |
