Ex 25:22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in COMMANDMENT unto the children of Israel.

Ex 27:20 And thou shalt COMMAND the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.

Ex 29:35 And thus shalt thou do unto Aaron, and to his sons, according to all things which I have COMMANDED thee: seven days shalt thou consecrate them.

Ex 31:6 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have COMMANDED thee;

Now, all that is also commandments to Israel from God.  Do you obey these also?  or is commandments the law?  if not, what is the difference?

Dovey, hope you tell us how to keep the sabbath, according to the Word of God.  We truly wish to know.

No..I'm sure you all don't really want to know..because if you did..you would search for yourselves. No one told me I had to keep, acknowledge or believe in the 4th Commandment.  I read it for myself in God's Commandments and realized that it's God's Commandment.

Maybe if people would stop to think about what men teach and focus more on what God has to say..we all wouldn't debate as much about a simple commandment from God.  After all....God's spirit led children should be of ONE mind ...in ONE accord for it is God's Spirit that guides. God is not a god of confusion.

Phl 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.
Phl 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, [being] of one accord, of one mind.

I see.  in other words, you have no idea what the Word does say about keeping that day?  if you did, you could tell us.

You know it is not what your church or you say.

Jesus set an excellent example as to how to keep God's 7th day Sabbath ...don't you think? It's not the way the Pharisees kept it that's for sure. However, Jesus didn't throw out His Father's commandment.  He taught the true spiritual intent and application of the law.

What you're asking me is like a Sunday Keeper asking another Sunday Keeper how he/she keeps Sunday. No two people keep it exactly the same. However...BOTH ACKNOWLEDGE...the DAY.

I tell you what, dovey.  if you think you have to keep it,  then it is for sure,  that you had better get it right, according to that law.

There is not one word in the Book about the Phaisees and how that did it.  what are you talking about?  the way they did it...all they did was go to church.    so what do you do different?

Neither day has anything at all to do with NT salvation or our Sabbath.  You do not want any truth.  you have made that very clear.  so just go on in your darkness.  I am tired of trying to show any of you anything.  You flat refuse any and all Scriptures in favor of your man-made darkness.

No two people keep it the same.......what?  Then they are not going by what God said......what do you think God is?  some kind of joke/. that you all can pick and choose how to do this things which is of VITAL IMPORANCE.........

GOOD GRIEF!  HOW STUPID!    GOD REQUIRES YOU TO DO A THINK....WHICH IS SO IMPORTANT...THAT IT IS ALL YOU PEOPLE THINK ABOUT,   OR TALK ABOUT.....YET IT IS NOT IMPORTANT    HOW  YOU DO IT?

WHAT KIND OF JOKE ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE   GOD OUT TO BE?

DOVEY,  YOU ARE UNDER A HORRIBLE DELUSION.
If it is important to do,  then you sure as this world better get it right,  according to the LAW WHICH REQUIRES YOU TO DO IT.

Now you take this anyway you want.  it is the only truth you will ever hear.

Believing and acknowledging God's 4th Commandment is NOT living in a delusion.  It's far better than trying to teach against His Commandment.

It's like trying to teach against "Thou shalt not kill"...or  any of the other Commandments.

If people are going to focus on what others are doing as far as striving and desiring to obey God, then it will probably be very disappointing because people aren't perfect.  However  just because we aren't perfect, doesn't undermine God's Commandments.

If you think that believing in God's 4th commandment involves not doing anything for 24 hours then yeah, I wouldn't want to believe in it either. BUT! That's NOT the correct understanding behind God's Sabbath day.  It's so ludicrous how people try to justify their rejection of God's Commandment by taunting and mocking it, telling people that they can't do ANYTHING  not even flick on a light bulb on the Sabbath Day!

Freeborn if you are a true bible reader, you know it's a fact that the Pharisees and Sadducees ADDED ridiculous rules to God's Sabbath. That is why they tried to accuse Jesus of breaking it when He was taking a walk with His disciples and when they plucked a few grains of corn to snack on.

Jesus set them straight Freeborn.  Where do you see Jesus saying....."ENOUGH of the Sabbath day! God doesn't care about His Sabbath Day anymore".  Did Jesus even imply such a thought???  NO HE DID NOT!  Instead Jesus asked them...'Is it LAWFUL to do good on the Sabbath??..."

Mar 3:4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace

Where in that verse did Jesus say that the Sabbath Day was no longer in affect???? All Jesus asked them was if it was LAWFUL to do GOOD. Jesus went to the intent of the law which deals with our human heart.  The Pharisees and Sadducees only went about the routine of keeping the Sabbath, but did not have the true intent of the Commandment.  They kept it for SHOW and BOASTUFLNESS.

A True Christian obeys God's 4th Commandment because they love God. Just like they strive to keep all the other 9 commandments. It's NOT for show, it's NOT because they think the law saves them.  There are TEN COMMANDMENTS.  They are the ones written on stone by the finger of God.

The Commandments are a spiritual law which governs humanity whether humanity believes in those Commandments or not. There are consequences that follow from breaking any of the Ten commandments.  Just look at the world around us.   It's just amazing  how that one Commandment is rejected so feverishly by those who claim to be Christian.  How can we say we are Christian and in the same breath say God's Commandments are evil and if you try to obey God by striving to walk in those Commandments, you are going to HELL?   It's mind boggling!

2Co 3:7 - But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

Dovey, how come you can not see that this says that those commandments wriiten on stone was the  ministration of death and was done away with. How plain could that could be? If you go back to that which was written on stone, you are going back to law, you are not under Grace. It has been done away, it is ministration of death. Come out from under that what was the  ministration of death and come over in the NT of Grace, where there is life.

Joh 10:10 -The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Can you not see that the ministration of death, was that thief (law)and it will kill and destroy.

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Dovey, you are getting things all mixed up and saying things which we have never said.

We do not teach LAWLESSNESS, as you are saying.  We do not have to  STRIVE to keep law.  Jesus gave us His Holy Ghost, and by or with this Spirit, we live a Godly and Holy life, because this changed our NATURE to a HOLY NATURE,  which striving to keep laws could never do.

you are totally missing the New Covenant, by which we are TRANSLATED  into the KINGDOM of God's dear Son.  In this kingdom, there is no sin.  We live Holy by the Spirit which he gave us.

This is SEVEN DAYS A WEEK,   NOT JUST ONE.

I have not said the Sabbath was no longer,  I said it is not going to church on Saturday, or anything on Saturday.  it is the pure sabbath  or REST which Jesus GAVE us.

and I am not speaking about anything any Pharisees said about that old sabbath.   GET THIS STRAIGHT........ IT IS IMPORTANT TO YOUR SOUL......
I AM GIVING YOU WHAT THE LAW GIVER,  MOSES,  SAID YOU HAD BETTER DO AND NOT DO.

IF,.....IF........IF    YOU ARE NOW BOUND TO KEEP THAT 4TH COMMANDMENT.....YOU HAD BETTER KEEP IT RIGHT......ACCORDING TO WHAT MOSES SAID.......HE IS THE ONE WHO GAVE YOU THAT TABLES OF STONE.

He said  do NOT  GO OUT YOUR DOOR ON THAT DAY.
HE SAID  DO NOT PICK UP A STICK.
HE SAID DO NOT BUY OR SELL ON THAT DAY.

ETC. ETC.

You better go BACK AND STUDY THAT LAW A LOT CLOSER  and stop listening to these modern  day deceivers, who have you so mixed up you cannot recignize a simple truth.  the fact that you put yourself  BACK under that old law,  which Jesus delivered us from,  means you will be judged by that law.....so you had better get it right, or to hell you will surely go.

not because you had to,  but because you have rejected the New Covenant, purchased with the precious blood of Jesus.  and think not that you can have them both.  there is no way.  the Word of God makes this VERY CLEAR.  YOUR FALSE TEACHERS OF LAW CAN NEVER CHANGE THIS.  ALL THEY CAN DO IS DECEIVE THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT STUDY THE WORD OF GOD.

Love,
Jo

Larry:
The only way the law will kill is IF WE TRANSGRESS IT!.   SIN kills Larry...NOT God's law.

God Law does not kill when we OBEY IT.  I've posted several times now...that the Law or lawkeeping is NOT what saves us. An obedient Christian doesn't obey God's Commandments because he/she is trying to save themselves.  The reason a Christian is obedient to God's Commandment is because a Christian loves God from the heart. 1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. Is that really too complicated to understand???

SIN IS WHAT KILLS.  Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Bible tells us exactly what sin is!  1Jo 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

The only reason the law would administer death is when it's transgressed.  Under the New Covenant because of Jesus' sacrifice, We recieve GRACE (undeserved pardon)....when we mess up.  We aren't perfect yet. We will sin . BUT! when we do mess up, we can come before the Father and repent! We can confess our sin and God is always ready to forgive.  This is possible because of Jesus' sacrifice.

So you see GRACE does not mean we are lawless. Grace is not license to sin. Grace gives us the freedom from SIN. So that we can move ahead and obey God from the heart.  God wants to see OBEDIENCE FROM THE HEART.
Pro 7:2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

The "Thief" spoken of in John 10 is SATAN!  Not God's Commandment. Remember now, God created Lucifer an archangel. Lucifer BECAME Satan when he DISOBEYED GOD.  When he rebelled.  God warns us that Satan is like a lion roaming the earth ready to devour those who are unaware of his deceptions.  1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Dovey, so then, are you saying that you never transgress any of the law?  Is that why it has not killed you?  or us?  who does it kill today?  are they all keeping it?  If we are all keeping it,  why keep harping about that 4th one?

We, who have been given God's GRACE,  are not under law, so then we cannot transgress it.  That is the glorious beauty of not putting ourselves BACK under that law.  These, not under that law, are the only ones who will have salvation, for the rest of you will be judged by that law.

We will not be, for our sins have been done away with.

We are not of them who DRAW BACK to the destruction of their soul.
We are not of them who fell backwards.

We are not under the ruling POWER of those ten horns,  the ten commandments, by which that nation thread down the world.  (perhaps you should read their history a little closer, and see how they tread down every nation around them.)

We have been delivered and SET FREE.

Dovey

Who has said it is?  Why are you saying this?  None of us teach such a thing.  Are you without sin?  You sure sound like it.

We are without sin, for that is what grace and faith and the blood of Jesus does for us...  =  sets us free from sin.

We are not under law.  We are set free from the sin nature and given a holy nature.  This is the glory of NT SALVATION.

but you are under the POWER of those ten horns, and cannot get free.  so sad.

Gal 3:5- He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith

Ro 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Ro 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Ga 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace

Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Dovey, read Hebrews, Galations, Romans, and all the other books; they very clearly teach that the law of Moses (the 10 commandments) were only for those people who walked in ungodliness and disobedience to the Lord.

The law was NEVER given to a righteous man. The reason? A righteous man lives a Holy Life by the Spirit of God. He does not have to be under commandments to obey God; he obeys out of love for God. This is all God will ever accept.

The law is no more, Dovey, and those commandments are not  us because in Grace we obey because of Love.

Jesus said in Matthew 22 ?I> ‘You shall LOVE the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall LOVE your neighbor as yourself.

We are in Grace. Can you not hear this? we are not under law but under Grace. we are being led by the spirit, so we are not under the law and those 10 commandments.

Abraham walked in faith and pleased God WITHOUT ANY COMMANDMENTS. God's Word is the proof. The promises to Abraham that he should be the heir of the world was made to him 430 years BEFORE ANY 10 COMMANDMENTS WERE IMPLEMENTED BY MOSES.

Now that alone proves it is not by that law.

The LAW of LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS hath made me FREE from the LAW of sin and death. That 10 commandment law is that law of SIN AND DEATH = IF YOU SIN UNDER THAT LAW == YOU DIE WITHOUT MERCY.

See? Sin and die = sin and death = the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. No mercy. = no grace.

So if you choose that law, you deny yourself grace or God's mercy. This can only bring you death = eternal death. For by GRACE are you saved.......... by the LAW is no salvation.

That is a very good and true message, Larry.  But they cannot 'hear' for they are deaf.  blinded by law.

They think they can be saved by Grace, then must return to law, to stay saved or something like that.  Paul said if they return to law, they FALL FROM GRACE,  and Christ is of NO EFFECT TO THEM.

Hebrews also shows that they can never find salvation or repentance AGAIN, seeing they crucify Christ afresh and anew by going back to law, after he died to redeem us from that law.

sad shape spiritually!  but it is what they want and nothing can change them.  going to church on Saturday is salvation, you know.   what scripture says this?  None.  In fact no scripture says   ,  go to church, period.
