As I was driving down the road this morning and was thinking on the things of God this scripture came to my mind.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither my ways your ways

As I began to think on this it came in my mind, is this O.T. Scripture for the N.T. church.?

It astonied me what the Lord began to show me.

Ok, let's go to the N.T. where Jesus said, I am in the father and the father is me.

Me and my father are one as you and me are one.

I came to say ( his thoughts) only what my father sent me to say.

I came to do only those things he sent me to do ( his ways)

One place it said let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus

Ok if we have the mind of Jesus in us, and he said that he was in God and God was in him and if we are in Christ Jesus, does that not make us all one? Does this not make us have God's thoughts and his ways?

Now my question was what do you think?

I f we go back to the opening scripture let me show you what he said just before he said this about his ways and thoughts

He said let the wicked forsake his ways, and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return onto the Lord. You see he was not talking to the people of God. We are to have God's way and his thoughts.

The Bible also says that we are to think on the things of God.

Now I know some of u will say well this is not what these scriptures are saying.Well if not that is why I titled this What Do You Think?

His thoughts are not mine and mine are not his. That was said to keep us from makeing quick deceitions. Jesus died for the good of all. We are to think of all, not just the good of a few. In philipians, it say's to look for the good of others.

Posted by joie on 6/29/2002, 3KBercy  is God's thoughts.  He said for us to be merciful.  I think that is a very good revelation you received;  I had never thought of this before.  But it certainly seems to be the truth of the Scripture; that God is saying to the unrighteous that he is not thinking the thoughts of God.  Yes, if we meditate on the Word of God as told to do, then our thought would be His thoughts; for the Word is His thoughts.

If His word is in my mind, then God's thoughts are in my mind.  If I know the truth, then His thoughts are my thoughts; for His thoughts are truth.

He said as the 'heavens' are high above the earth; so are my thoughts above your thoughts.  So if we are in heavenly places, then his thoughts are in us.  Those on 'earth' are the carnal people whom God's thoughts are not in.

I read some Scripture which said  He is not in all their thoughts;  the wicked never think of God; so His thoughts are not in them.
Very good.

I need some help on that one. The word say's we are all sinner's, also that once we are in Christ we can not sin. I try to do everything by the Word, I also remind people that my thoughts are not his, and they must check their owen spirit to see whats right.

Stranger,  seems like double-talk here to me.  You say we are all sinners --- do you mean all Christians are sinners?  If so then they are not cleansed from their sin;  they are still sinners; not Christians.

Then you say if we are in Christ we cannot sin?  Now if we cannot sin,  how in the world can we be sinners?  Yes, I would say you do need some help.  I hope you are not too set into this deception that we are sinners after Jesus cleanses us from our sins,  to receive the help you need.

If God's word is in my heart and mind,  then His thoughts are my thoughts; for I am thinking His thoughts.  If you do not think God's thoughts, yes you are still a sinner;  but a sinner is NOT A CHRISTIAN.

A SINNER NEEDS TO COME TO JESUS AND BE CLEANSED FROM HIS SINS.

Just one little point...we are not "in" Christ,
Jesus is "in" us.
Jesus in you is the gospel.
When you are born again, you receive Jesus.  Not when you
are saved, but born again...a different thing all together.
I prefer to think that Jesus lives in me.  I love to know that Jesus
prayed to His Father that we all be one as they are one.  I love to
know that Jesus prayed for me before He died on the cross.
How can you have the mind that was in Jesus Christ other than
the fact that once you are born again, He resides in you?  Afterall,
Jesus said He only did what He heard and saw His Father do.  Was
Jesus "in" His Father or did His Father live "in" Him?
Think about that one for a moment.
Love,
"Spiritwalker"

John 10:38
But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
Joh 14:10
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Joh 14:11
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Joh 17:21
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

So from what I see from this, if the father is in Jesus. and Jesus is inthe father, and they are one, then if Jesus is in us we have to be in Jesus and be one as they are one.

Yes it does sound like double talk

)

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:23 (KJV)

22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

Gal 3:22 (KJV)

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1 John 1:8 (KJV)

9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1 John 3:9 (KJV)

14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Psalms 25:14 (KJV)

Jesus was sent to do the work of the Father He was of the Father and the Father in the flesh.

If we are born again, of Him, we are to do his work. We can not do His work if he isn’t first on our mind. He is the word. As it say’s in John.

Many christens think only of themselves as it said above in 1 john 1-8

Satan wants people to think they are perfect so they wont think of others, as Jesus did.

3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Phil 2:3-7 (KJV)

3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
