This is my low carb journal..i am a t-2 i went to the new dr with my food journal and he took out a red pen and circled all the foods i love and said NO! you can not have these...LOL even when i switch to complex carbs i spike to the moon..so for now its going to be a atkins/south beach low carb food intake..
the hardest thing for me...i have been eating two piece of toast for breakfast for last 35 years slamed down with a big cup o java..
to actually replace those toast with cottage cheese, eggs, meat..ewwwwwwwww is going to be a challange..
and can i be honest...
we are in a depression/recession
we all look at the price tags in the store
what is the cheapest food there is
carbs..pasta beans rice..
and the ones you have to rob a bank to buy
MEAT.. rib eye steak has gone from $5.99
to $9.99 to $ll.99 a pound in our kroger store
lunch meats seem to still be low but at $5.99 a pound for a small pkg of boiled ham,,
you really have to learn to go camp out in
the produce isle and live for raw veggies
to survive..
back to topic..low carb.... today all i want to do is eat bread..my last day..honest ..yes..bad food choice..yes.. but tomorrow i am waking up to low carb.. high protien.. raw fruits..lots of raw veggies.. and a food log chart the dr gave me that he wants to see in two months..
hopefully i will learn to eat more fish....
and chicken and not miss the bread, cereal,
crackers, chips, (yep i am a carb junkee)
also i am blowing the dust off my rowing machine and bringing it indoors ( our az temps for today and tomorrow 105-107 ) YIPES..
will be working out to richard simmons dvd for silver haired foxes =giggle=
its a whole new world out there
i am excited to be learning to exercise more
eat more healthy and look at food as fuel
but honestly ..today i just want my last
slice of toast.. =sigh=
