I do...last night I had chicken for dinner, and had a higher morning sugar than when I have my usual Lean Cuisine mac and cheese. The mac and cheese shows up as a higher sugar in one hour...which is easily fixed by taking Humalog to match the carbs prior to dinner. But chicken? Or some other protein? Harder to match to the insulin. So normally, I just up my Lantus, which is trickier. Also, harder to calculate the percentage which will be metabolized completely into sugar by morning. So there is a computer program? Will wonders never cease? |
