I'm a 50 year old female. My 20 year old son lives with me. This arthritis has affected my life. I don't want to go anywhere or do anything. My doctor says that if it's not RA, I have excessive wear and tear on my body. I am currently being treated for OA...but the medication does not help. My fingers are starting to disfigure. To all who post me I will return an answer. It gets lonely being in the house all the time, doesn't it?

I am 44 years old and an RPN in Ontario. I volunteer on medical brigades to Honduras and with brain injured clients. I have a 15 year old daughter and have been married 5 months to my second husband!!

I am interested in the attitudes of the disabled. I am writing about my experiences with Cerebral Palsy--poetry and short stories. My goals: 1.Create an anthology for publication. 2.Research Sociology/Phenomenology of Disability--perception of disability by the disabled--its expression in their writing. 3.Master's in Sociology/Social Work and PhD in Disability Studies. I need academic research and writers who identify as being disabled who are willing to share their experiences and their writing.

I was hit by a drunk driver head on going 80 in 1974 and am a disabled vet, age 55, a long time writer, just a quiet soul. I try to help everyone I can. Because I have had IBS for 6 months my diet changed drastically and I hope my Cancer risks have been lowered! All one can do is try to eat healthy and hope for the best! I am for the most part pain free, having to wear 2 back supports 24-7 , but I am happy and that is all that counts. I wish you all a great day. If you have lower back pain, believe me, you do NOT have to accept that back pain. The 2 $25.00 back supports I wear help me to escape 90% or more back pain. I wear them 24-7 and hardly notice them. Yes I do Love aviation.  I experience my passion through the virtual world by flying and controlling with other avaiation enhuasists online!  It's an amazingly realistic world and a fantastic experience!

I have right side hemiplegia and would like to make some new friends I live with my parents but looking at moving out

I really enjoy meeting people from all over and making new ffriends. I think this is a wonderful way to do this. I don't understand the workingsof this machine but it is marvelous. Puff
