My dh had some old tennis shoes that he had sitting next to his newer ones. I decided to try and clean them up with this cleaner I use on mine. Wow, what a difference! You spray this cleaner all over, give it 10 seconds and it truly wipes away all the dirt. My kind of cleaner. LOL!! Its called Kiwi Sport, Fast acting Cleaner. The shoes look brand new again. Sounds great....I'm going to look for this. I'm always taking soap, and bleach, and a toothbrush to mine! (I HATE even slightly dirty tennis shoes....)
I learned a tip from one of our PE teachers that also coaches track. Put your shoes in the washer and when they're done, do NOT put them in the dryer (that can shrink them and you don't have to put up with the banging noise). Stuff them loosely with newspaper and they'll be dry by the next morning. The paper keeps absorbing the water (like a wick) and then evaporates. I've been doing this for years now and it works like a charm.
