As Mike has posted where Elizabeth PHELAN was born and her parents names hopefully that will help you.

The Tipperary emigrant indexes are online but it looks like she was not from there but from Offaly instead

Thanks a lot Liz, speedy as usual I think this is the one.  Victorian state records most unhelpful as to reels in NSW  any clues as to where they are available  thanks a lot Carolyn.

Carolyn,  The assisted british immigrants usually had extra info recorded unlike the unassisted but they are on fiche not films as far as I know

Usually these sorts of records are available at state library & some public libraries have copies

I would try e mailing the PRO (Public record office) in victoria to ask where you can view them

Some other states might have copies if you are lucky

Dear Liz, the details are all correct for elizabeth Phelan except the birth date.  she could not have come here at the age of 13 by herself to go into service with a Mr. J. Dick of flemington. victoria.  PRO no help in vic.

Carolyn,  Not saying it was her but it is absolutely possible that she could have arrived by herself aged 13 to go into service

The orphan girls did exactly that from Ireland

My g/g grandfather came here on his own aged 12 years (both parents dead) on a little ship as a bounty immigrant and went straight into service in the Illawarra region .  All this info was on a bounty immigrant film reel

We could hardly believe it either but it was true and his parents names matched as well.

I think I may have said before that it is not always possible to find immigration records as sometimes if they came steerage class they were not mentioned by name but just the number of passengers on board

Also there were many errors on these indexes and she may be under a wrong spelling or arrived originally in another state which is not uncommon

The irish were pretty good at changing their ages on immigration indexes from what I have found over the years so I don't take much notice of listed ages

Carolyn ,  If it was me then I would have died and been thrown overboard as I would not have survived the voyage

I even got very ill on the passenger ferry from Sydney to Tasmania about 4 years ago  and it was a 20 hour trip not 4 or 5 months on the ocean

I hope you have some luck finding her as you never know what will turn up in the future
