Amaretto Cinnamon Coffee Creamer

1 1/2 cups non-dairy coffee creamer
2 teaspoons almond extract
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

Combine all ingredients and blend thoroughly. Store in an airtight container.

Portion the mix into small plastic bags (about 3/4 cup in each), and tie with bright ribbon. Place in decorative coffee cups with directions.

Makes about 3 cups, or 4 gift portions of 6 servings each.

Add 2 tablespoons of creamer to each cup of coffee.

Red Hot Sipper Mix in a Jar

1 2/3 cups instant powdered lemon flavor tea mix
2 tablespoons instant powdered orange pineapple sweetened drink mix
5 tablespoons red hot cinnamon candies

Combine tea drink mix and orange pineapple drink mix in a small bowl. Place mixture into a pint jar. Layer red hot cinnamon candies on top of drink mix.

Attach the following instructions on a gift tag:

Red Hot Sipper

Measure 2 tablespoons Red Hot Sipper drink mix into a drinking mug. Pour 1 cup of hot water over drink mixture. Stir until well-blended and red hot cinnamon candies are melted.

Makes about 16 cups of prepared drink.

Serenity Cappuccino

1 cup powdered instant nondairy creamer
1 cup chocolate flavored drink mix
3/4 cup instant coffee
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Combine all the ingredients in a food processor or blender and mix thoroughly until well blended. The mix yields about 3 cups. Store in an airtight container.

Baker's Tip: For the best tasting cappuccino mix, use a good, brand name coffee.

Directions for the recipient tag:

In a mug, combine 2 tablespoons of mix to a cup of boiling water. Stir, sip and enjoy a tranquil moment.

Spice Bags for Warm Winter Drinks

8 sticks cinnamon, broken into small pieces
2 whole nutmegs, crushed
1/3 cup whole cloves
1/3 cup minced dried orange peel (or 1/4 cup ground)
1/4 cup whole allspice berries
Optional: garnish with cinnamon sticks,
slice of orange, lemon peel

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Tie in sachets of 1 tablespoon each in a double thickness of cheesecloth; transfer to an airtight container. One sachet of the mixture will flavor 1 quart of cider, tea or wine.

To use, simmer 1 quart of the chosen beverage with 1 sachet for 20 minutes; ladle into mugs. If desired, add a garnish or a sprinkling of additional spirits.

Spiced Coffee Mix

1 (12 oz.) jar instant coffee
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. ground allspice
1 cup granulated sugar

Combine coffee, sugar and spices in blender and blend 15 seconds or until fluffy blended. Store in airtight container.

To serve, mix 1 to 2 teaspoons to 2/3 cup hot water.

Makes about 50 cups.

Spiced Cranberry Cider Mix

1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
2 tablespoons whole allspice
12 cinnamon sticks

Use a small jar. Combine the cranberries, cloves and allspice together and set aside. Place the cinnamon sticks in a resealable plastic bag. Place the bag into the jar. Add the mixed ingredients. Seal and decorate the jar, and attach the recipe tag.

Spiced Cranberry Cider
You will need:
2 quarts apple cider
1 quart water
contents of jar
2 sliced oranges

Combine the cider, water and jar contents in a large pot. Heat and remove just before boiling. Add 3/4 of the orange slices to the hot drink. Use the remaining orange slices to serve with cider.

Serves 12 to 14

2 quarts apple cider
1 quart water
Contents of cider mix from jar
2 oranges, sliced

In a large saucepan combine the cider, water and cider mix from the jar. Heat thoroughly. Add most of the orange slices.

Serve warm, garnished with remaining orange slices.

Spiced Mocha Coffee Mix

1/3 cup instant coffee
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup nonfat dry milk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons dried orange peel

Combine all and stir until blended. Store in airtight container. Good in canister with porcelain coffeepot and matching coffee cups. Include molasses cookie mix.

Spiced Mocha Coffee (1 serving): 1 tbl. spiced mocha coffee mix, 6 ounces boiling water, shaved chocolate or cinnamon. Place coffee mix in bottom of coffee cup. Pour water over mix and stir until coffee dissolves. Garnish with shaved chocolate or additional cinnamon.

Strawberry Vanilla Drink Mix

1 pkg (25.6 oz) nonfat dry milk powder
1 pkg (16 oz) strawberry-flavored confectioners sugar, sifted
2 jars (8 oz ea) French vanilla-flavored non-dairy powdered creamer
1 pkg (16 oz) strawberry mix for milk
1 jar (11 oz) non-dairy powdered creamer
1/2 tsp salt

In large bowl, combine all ingredients; stir until well blended. Store in airtight container.

To serve:

For a hot drink, pour 6 oz hot water over 3 heaping tbls mix; stir well.

For a cold shake, place 6 oz cold water, 3 heaping tbls mix, and 1-2 scoops vanilla ice cream in blender.

Yield: about 20 c drink mix.

Sugarless Instant Cocoa Mix

2 cups nonfat dry milk powder
1/2 cup lower-fat powdered nondairy creamer
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
10 packets Equal® or 1 Tablespoon Equal® Measure
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

For cocoa mix, stir together milk powder, nondairy creamer, cocoa powder, Equal® and, if desired, cinnamon. Cover and store in an airtight container.

For each serving, in a heat-proof mug add 3/4 cup boiling water to 1/3 cup cocoa mix; stir to dissolve.

Makes 2 2/3 cups mix, enough for 8 six-ounce servings.

Toffee Coffee Mix

2/3 cup instant coffee
1 cup non-dairy creamer
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

Combine all ingredients well in a large bowl. Place in airtight jars.

To serve, place 2 to 3 teaspoons of mix in a mug and add boiling water.

Triple Chocolate Mint Cocoa Mix
Candies can be ground in a coffee mill or crushed with a hammer.

6 cups nonfat milk powder
1 package (16 ounces) confectioners sugar
2 jars (8 ounces each) Swiss chocolate-flavored non-dairy
Powdered creamer
1 package (15 ounces) chocolate mix for milk
1 package (7 1/2 ounces) round peppermint candies, finely ground
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt

In a very large bowl, combine milk powder, confectioners sugar, creamer, chocolate mix, ground candies, cocoa, and salt. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator. Give with serving instructions.

To serve: Pour 6 ounces hot water over 3 tablespoons cocoa mix; stir until well blended.

Yield: about 13 1/2 cups cocoa mix

Triple Hit Hot Chocolate

Measure 1/3 cup Triple Hit Hot Chocolate Mix and place into drinking mug. Pour 1 cup of hot water over chocolate mixture. Stir until well-blended and mint chocolate chips are melted.

Makes about 5 cups prepared drink.

Vanilla Almond Coffee

1 (1 ounce) bottle pure vanilla extract
1 (1 ounce) bottle pure almond extract
1 pound ground coffee, regular or decaffeinated

Add extracts to coffee. Shake to blend thoroughly. Put into an attractive glass canister with a tight-fitting lid.

White Hot Chocolate Mix

1 teaspoon vanilla powder
1 teaspoon dried orange peel
1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Combine ingredients and place in a small decorative clear glass jar.

Attach a gift card with these instructions:

Combine 1 1/2 cups milk and 1/4 cup White Hot Chocolate Mix in a pan over medium heat. Whisk until the chocolate is melted.
