Furry_Angels : The Story Part 3

The next visit to the vets office Dr Kim said she had heard about to ferrets needing foster homes , she had remembered we said we were looking to foster some but she didnt know about a ferret math explosion but thought she would mention it to us anyway. She left us alone while she went to get the needles, James and I looked at each other and echoed each others thoughts, What are we going to do with 2 more! that would make the total 10 ... can we afford 10 ? surely 2 more wouldnt be that much more to look after than 8  It would mean 2 more to love and 2 more to get fuzzy kisses from... Yes you got it we were talking ourselves into taking these fuzzies. We didnt know anything about them and got a phone number to call.

We were nervous when we called to find about these pair and more so when we found out that their foster mum was fostering them for a shelter, both Albinos 1 male one female both on their 3rd homes about 2-3 yrs old ... So we made an appointment to meet them and their foster mum, we had two days to wait and  all sorts of thoughts starting forming  will we be suitable ferants? will they think we have to many already?  the pressure was on,  all my ferrety friends were supportive saying they would give us referals if needed that brought me some relief.

The night came and we headed for the next town both with butterflies and a carrier, when we got there we were ushered inside quickly ...ferrets roaming loose... and we made our introductions .
I sat on the floor and James sat on the couch he was soon to find out that was the ferrets couch because with in seconds he was surrounded by curious ferrets sniffing who is this stranger on MY couch. They finally noticed me on the floor but the big guy on the their couch was much more interesting.
We were introduced to Snowball now Maia aka sweetie a very timid little girl and Jaws now Kama that gave kisses freely but would also bite wrists, which I found out about ... Ouch! a quick scruff and a NO Bite did the trick. OOps I looked up, I forgot they werent my furbabies :O(   thoughts started rushing through my mind ... was I too mean ? was I mean enough? Will Judy let me take them home? did I screw up? James must have seen the worry on my face because he said thats as bad as it gets at home which is pretty much true. I think Judy was just in shock from Jaws nipping me. We laughed it off and relaxed and talked and talked for 4 hours before leaving with our new additions.

So Kama and Maia  joined our furry family but wait Maia and Kama arent Aussie names I hear you say, Thats because they came to us on Valentines day so they got  a god and goddess name for LOVE

and yes this is...... THE END (not likely I here you say)
