Day 28

Did less exercise than I had anticipated.... basically walked into town and back. We had a lift to Slimming World and back.... well it was raining so I wasn't going to object too much.... but at least I got some exercise in

Day 29

Nearly got reborn today! It was a close thing wether I did any exercise today as I hd had a full day at "work" and had had a snooze. In the end I said to myself I would go for a walk and if I wanted to i would come home within twenty minutes... in the end I stayed out for 50 mins and would have done it all again if it hadn't have been for fading light. I like the buzz that walking/exercising gives me

Day 30

Walked in to town this afternoon and did some shopping so got the taxi back home.... then this evening I took Patience for a drag along the river park and around the estate... she did quite well... think she has about recovered! I enjoyed myself even if I did reward myself with some diet cola on the wya home! My excuse is that there was no bottled plain water in the shop!

Day 31....

Think my pedometer is having a funny day. Walked to pet Crumbly's and back today, but I've only clocked up about 8,500 for the day whereas last week it was 10,000. Something isn't quite right. But at least i know I've moved my body for a long time today and built up quite a sweat as well. It was good to hear the birds sing.... and it was only light drizzel this afternoon walking home so that wasn't too bad.

Day 32

Went for a walk this evening round the river park. There were a few geese there, think I saw a heron flying and a few boats out on the river. I had got up late today and it was tempting not to exercise but I knew once I started I would end up enjoying mtyself and I did. Took my dog with me and she kept up with me most of the time so i didn't have to drag her too hard until the end!

Day 33

Walked down to the river, went into the river park, but came home via the town. Patience was dragging a bit but at least we didn't get wet. Once again I wasn't wanting to exercise but felt good afterwards for having done so. Thanks for this challenge

Day 34.

Did my major walk before I walked to work this morning. I got up early, had breakfast and couldn't get back to sleep so I thought I might as well walk. It really set me up for the day. I needed all the positive vibes I could get for knowing I would be at "work" from 10 - 4 without a proper break. I've got in over 10,000 steps today so I'm really pleased with myself. As my mum used to say "Little things please little minds"

Day 35.

More walking.... walked to and from town today and walked back from Slimming World. I'm ready for bed tonight.... and I have to get into town for 10am tomorrow morning as well.... of not before. Better set the alarm.

Day 36

Walked into town this morning.... was running a little late so a quicker walk than ususal! Then this afternoon walked with patience up to the Post Office and then this evening round the block with the dog. Did the mini-bus trip with the project I "work" for and guess I clocked up a few steps there with walking to collect the clients etc., so I'm quite pleased with today.

Day 37

Walked into town this afternoon.

When I came home I took Patience out for a walk.... walked up the river this time... along by the old restored barges and Allington Castle. Patience was very good and I didn't have to drag her too much.... maybe as most of it was level. It was interesting to peek into the boat windows to see if anyone was on board!... Came home via the road way. It put me in high spirits...

Day 38....

walked to Pet Crumbly's and back.... hence getting in  over 10,000 steps

Day 39

walked by the river today.... saw a family of geese.... the youngsters looked so cute and fluffy.... all going for a swim. Nice warm day which I enjoyed.

Day 40

Went for a walk this evening along by the river as well as along by the river itself.  Patience did really well.... mind you she perked up when there was another dog around the towpath!!! It was good to hear the birds singing.

Brought some pasters for my feet... I'm having a spot of bother with a pair of trainers I brought.... nothing that a well placed plaster won't cure.

We must be getting quicker as we walked much further this evening but in not too much extra time.... see I must be getting fitter!

Day 41

Walked to "work" today via the laundrette and back.

When i got in Patience wanted to go for her walk so we went down by the river. Today we were honoured to have a family of ducks cross our path, from one very small pond bit into the river. Cute and fluffy. Patience did good as well.... not too much dragging at the lead..

I've really enjoyed this challenge... there has been some days when I didn't feel like exercising but this challenge has kept me going. Think I will repeat this.... double or quit.... but try to get up to age 84!
