A Message from Sharon...  Giving Hearts By Sharon Lechter

Are our children being prepared for the financial world they face ?  Is there help available for single mothers struggling to make ends meet ?  What about families struggling to deal with stifling amounts of debt ?

Our mission at the Rich Dad Company is “to elevate the financial well-being of humanity.?nbsp;

To strive to fulfill this mission and to “give back?in appreciation of our success with Rich Dad, Robert, Kim and I created the Foundation for Financial Literacy, a 501c(3) organization that provides financial grants to other organizations that work to teach and share financial literacy.  To date we have donated close to one million dollars to over 70 organizations -  from inner city schools and summer camps to Junior Achievement and Women’s education and support groups. A listing of beneficiaries can be found below.

As word of the Foundation has spread, the number of wonderful and worthwhile requests from organizations for funding has grown.

This is NOT a promotional effort for Rich Dad and grants from the Foundation may not  be used to buy Rich Dad products.  A separate division of our company considers requests for donations of our financial education products to these types of organizations. The Foundation seeks and gratefully accepts donations to continue to fund as many grant requests as possible.

All monies donated to the Foundation for Financial Literacy will be used to fund requests from organizations for programs directly related to teaching financial literacy.

The funds from the Foundation for Financial Literacy help organizations that...
...teach children the basic concepts of money, through enrichment programs, after-school programs or summer camps.
...keep young people in high school by teaching them “real life?financial skills.
...help teenage runaways learn the basic concepts of money.
...help young mothers learn the financial skills to provide for their children and get off of welfare.
...help teach people to get out of debt.
...help start-up companies understand cash flow management.
...help the elderly learn about financial management.

Year-End Tax Planning
We truly believe the more you give, the more you receive. Your donations to the Foundation for Financial Literacy qualify as tax-deductible contributions.  To learn more about the Foundation for Financial Literacy, or to make a donation, please visit our website at

Children's self-perceptions or ideas of themselves academically and financially will often dictate how they operate for the rest of their lives.
