Preparation - Place apples, spice, brown sugar and juice in a covered glass container and microwave on full power until apples are tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Mash apples and add pumpkin; microwave an additional 5 minutes. Puree in a food processor if you want the end product to be very smooth. Serve warm or refrigerate for later.
- Serving suggestion: Spread on whole wheat toast or low-fat bran muffins for a tasty and wholesome breakfast.
