Thank you, Father, for giving me a window to your heart through the life and ministry of Jesus. Please bless me as I seek to know you better by knowing, understanding,

and following Jesus more passionately. I pray in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, my Lord. Amen.

Genesis 2

Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.  Genesis 2:24

This is where God introduces marriage and the husband and wife becoming "one flesh". Marriage is such a beautiful thing and it is truly a shame in today's world how marriage is taken so lightly and not seriously.  When I read this verse I immediately thought of my son who just recently got married and how he has "become one" with his wife.  Though it was so hard.... he did leave us and he is now joined to his wife and they have begun their family.

As much as we parents love our children... and as much as we want to hold on to them.... that is not really God's plan.  We are to raise them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord... BUT.... when the time is right we are to release them so they can be joined to their mates. That is the hard part. Releasing and letting go....

Yet, as I read today's reading, it really dawned on me that "letting go" is truly part of God's plan and that if I don't, then I will be wrong to hold on.  Yes, I am sad at times that my son lives so far away from me.... BUT.... I am truly overjoyed that he has found a wife and they have become "one flesh". What a wonderful part of God's beautiful plan!

Leaving mom and dad is Sciptural and for the first time I am seeing the truth in that! I always knew that my children could not be with us forever, but when the reality of it is finally here... it is sometimes harder to face. I had my own expections. I thought Chris would go into the army and maybe when he came out of the army he might come home and then find his wife. Maybe deep down inside I wanted that... but that was not God's plan. God  had Chris's wife picked out already and He delivered!

So next time I am feeling sad cause Chris is away and so far, I will reflect and remember that Chris is doing exactly what the Bible says. He has left his father and mother and is now cleaving unto his wife. And this is all part of God's plan.

Thank you, Lord for giving me some encouragement tonight. Father, I am so tired I can't hardly keep my eyes opened. I have had a very stressful evening and yet even with that, I was able to come here and gain some encouragement from,

"The God of Great Delight"

The Savior is so powerful,
It's plain for all to see
That every life, that He redeems,
Reflects His Majesty.
He reaches down to where you are
And takes you by the hand.
He heals the heartache and the scar,

And shows you what He's planned.
He lets you exercise your gifts,
Your talents, and your skills.
He helps you settle family rifts.
The storms He calms and stills.
He has the best in mind for you,

Like hand in perfect glove.
No matter what you're going through,
You're Lifted By His Love.
For, life, in Christ, is rich indeed.
There's nothing to compare.
He will supply your every need.
Your burdens He will bear.

So, Trust the Lord, who loves you so,
'Til Faith turns into sight
And let the folks around you know
He Brings You Great Delight !!!

Welcome :)

Acceptance means you can find the serenity within,
to let go of the past with its mistakes and regrets.
To move into the future with a new perspective & appreciation
of the opportunity to take a second chance.

Acceptance means you'll find security again;
even when difficult times come into your life
and comfort to relieve any pain.
You'll find new dreams, fresh hopes & forgiveness of the heart.

Acceptance does not mean you will always be perfect.
It simply means you'll overcome imperfection.

Acceptance is the road to peace.
Letting go of the worst, holding on to the best
& finding the hope inside that continues throughout life.

Acceptance is the heart's best defense, love's greatest asset
& the easiest way to keep believing in yourself & others.

Life can be beautiful
If you Accept it!
