Any well-seasoned Christian will readily tell you
that dependence on God helped them grow.
And they'll tell you it was walking through the problems of life
that gave the lessons God was wanting to show.

 
For it's times of great need....when we have a deficit(Shortfall)
that our self-sufficiency is chiseled(Carve) away.
And we finally see God as our Ultimate Provider
and our hope at the end of the day.

 
It's those times of desperation...when we really need solutions
that we seek out true Wisdom from above.
And God helps us in ways we couldn't find anywhere else
and His answers are delivered with love.

 
It's long, drawn-out seasons when progress seems slow
that God teaches us to pray and press through.
For we learn that faith means persevering through Christ
and He is with us in all that we do.
It's pain & disappointment, problems and heartache
that teach us what true peace really means.

 
For peace never means the mere absence of trials
...but that He's faithful whatever life brings.
When we walk through the darkness with our eyes on the Light
we're far better when each chapter ends.

 
For God's interest is not that we are always comfortable
...but that we're always dependent on Him.
