He Cups His Hands
When friends are in the midst of hurricanes,
And miles between keeps me from bringing calm
Encouragement to ease their winds and rains?BR>I rest assured. They're sheltered in God's palm.

He kindly cups His faithful, outstretched hands
To scoop them up and hold them ever near.
His Presence is a fortress that withstands
Emotion's waves until the coast is clear.

I know my friends are safe, and so am I,
Because His shadow is our canopy.
The weather doesn't matter, He'll draw nigh.

Distance won't sever Him from them or me.
Thank God, my friends are safe within His care,
And all I had to do was say a prayer.

Courage and Hope for every day,
Faith to guide me along the way,
Understanding and Wisdom too,
And Grace to accept what life gives me to do.

"Doubt sees the obstacles,
    Faith sees the way;
Doubt sees the bleakest night,
    Faith sees the day;

Doubt dreads to take a step,
    Faith soars on high;
Doubt questions, ‘Who believes??BR>    Faith answers, ‘I.?

MY CHOICE

Trusting in the inspiration of God, I gratefully accept my good.

Day after day, the important choices and the seemingly minor

Ones I make add up to a lifetime of experiences.

As I consider what This day May hold in store,

I let the inspiration of God guide me so that I Make the Very best choices.

To begin each day, I invite divine inspiration to light my Way.

As the day progresses-- whether I am choosing clothes Appropriate for

Weather conditions, food for nourishment, or people for supportive Company

I Realize the presence of God is supporting me in making the right Decision.

Trusting in the inspiration of God, I gratefully accept my good.

I affirm that those I pray for are open to divine inspiration in Making choices

that are best for them individually and for everyone Overall.

"'You shall not swear falsely, but carry out the vows you have Made to the Lord.'

Let your word be 'Yes, Yes' or 'No, No.'" Matthew 5:33, 37
