She can hold a secret inside forever and a day.
A child with a wounded heart
Grows into a woman who still must pay.
The people that she tried to spare have no idea at all
She's protected them and guarded them since she was very small.
She knows that if it were told that it would break their hearts.
So instead the lonely girl's is broken into parts.
She smiles despite the pain inside
She never shows her cards
She knows the consequences so forever she will hide.
She bows her head and prays to God to lighten up the load.
The path she follows day by day is such a rocky road.
God listens to her prayers and gives to her a gift.
The gift is called forgiveness
And back to the skies her soul will lift.
