With every tear that falls She wonder why Why she hurts and why she cries She wonders why they didn’t listen When she was just a little girl That some things wrong inside her body And give some tests a whirl They knew each month For just one week She felt so much pain Her body would face defeat She would get so dizzy And pass out But no one dare to try To find the pain that makes her cry The days the weeks the years go by A teen formed from that little girl Who now had pain so bad That she falls all over Hits the wall She doesn’t know her own head She spends that week curled up so tight Laying in her bed They refuse to search They refuse to look Hut each doctor asks What kind of pills she took They are hoping to find a drug to mask Her pain to stop her from having her tears Fall like rain Now she’s 22 and the pain is so bad She bleeds like she has just been stabbed She pukes, she passes out Some things not normal there is finally no doubt But now she waits for news that Could turn her world upside down And if it goes bad In her tears she may drown Because they didn’t do a test When she was that girl Her life could be dark Her body be frail And she could face a cold world Once again as unfair As when she was robbed of use of her legs But given her beautiful red hair So god tell her why She sits with these worries in her head Hoping and praying it is your will To make her stronger instead Of filling her with anger Inside her head To add to the list Yet just one more loss And one more reminder That all her joy has a cost And here she sits angry and torn Facing yet one more personal storm She sits and she sees inside her A sad woman Who lost yet one more thing To make her life a struggle A dark desperate fight To grasp on to hope To grasp on to light Yes here she sits And tears burn her eyes Head filled with worry and questions of why ?
