1 lb smoked sausage (cut into bite sized pieces or chunks) 25-50 presh or frozen shrimp-deveined (size is your preference) 1- 15 oz can of diced garlic tomatoes 1- 15 oz can of black beans 6-8 jalapeno pepper rings (diced or sliced your preference) 2 boxes of Zatarans jambalaya rice mix-DOUBLE THE WATER THAT THE MIX CALLS FOR(has all the seasonings needed) 1 TBSP Old Bay Seasoning 1/4 C green bell peppers-diced 1/4 C red bell peppers-diced 4 green onions-chopped 1/2 can of tomato juice (46 oz size) Saute sausage, shrimp, green onions and all 3 types of peppers in old bay seasoning-cook til shrimp is done and sausage is browned Add the meat mixture, diced tomatoes, beans and tomato juice to the water for the rice then follow the directions on the box for adding the rice (it will tell you when to add the rice and how to complete it with the cooking times.
