I don't know if this qualifies as a trigger or not but I didn't want to put it out there in General chat and it affect someone negatively. I just wanted to ask everyone to pray for those who are going to be affected and have been affected by Hurricane Gustav. I live in Mobile, AL and right now they don't expect us to get this hurricane, it could change course at any time. If it keeps on its current track, we are still expected to receive high winds and lots of rain. But, this hurricane is a Cat 4 hurricane. They expect it to be a Cat 5 before making landfall and back down to a Cat 4 when it does make landfall. Do you have any idea what kind of devastation that is going to cause, wherever it lands? Right now it is headed just west of the Mississippi river in Louisiana. Katrina will have nothing on Gustav. Katrina wiped Waveland, MS and Bay St Louis, MS off the map, literally. There was nothing left. And the homes in Biloxi, MS and Gulfport, MS that have been there since before the Civil War, were wiped off of there slabs. It looks like match sticks everywhere. The casinos were demolished. People are still living in Fema trailers in Mississippi and Louisiana. I know this was a long post, but my anxiety is really bothering me and I am scared to death. I know my home is only in a small percentage of danger. Unless this thing changes course, we are just gonna have some bad weather. But, I feel so sorry for all of these people in the path of this devastating storm and I needed to get this off my chest. Thanks for listening. |

((((Spurdal)))) first of all, thanks for thinking and if not sure if it's a trigger or not, posting on teh trigger board. This post could of gone on the general or the chat off line board. YOu could of put tirgger on the heading of it with a briff desription of the topic, then go on from there. This is good that you are getting this off of your shest hun, and feel free to talk as much as you want about it, and as much as you need to also. I do understand, BP tend to excell the anxiety in us. And I agreee with you about the storm that is out there. I for one am sorry for those that live in those area's. I am glad I am not there. ALthough I live far form there, they say we may see weather from it, although nothing compaired to everyone else, thank goodness. Then again I may be far enough north that it may be nothing. My daughter also lives in your area, and we are keeping close track of it. Now that I know you are there also, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers also. Love & hugs! Butterfly~Janice |
