My DM went down to our pontoon boat this morning toting pumps and hoses and tools, to remove the od gas and get the boat ready for boat rides - woo hoo!

Boo hoo - he had to turn around and put everything away.

A silly Canadian goose has made a nest on the front deck of the  boat and is happily sitting on it!

DM didn't think mama goose would apprecite him getting on the boat with her and making a racket. I hope those babies hatch soon.  I want a boat ride.

Photo as soon as it stops drizzling.

how nice of the DM to leave the goose alone to raise her babies.

Oh how cute......My DM just loves geese.  I have learned to fear them though since that little episode when I was three.

Hopefully we'll get the boat running this weekend, and I might see the babies paddling after their parents somewhere.  I will take camera, in case.

This is so heartwarming!! Your DM is a great guy, Tosca, for letting this mama tend her nest and see her babies hatched! Congrats on the grand baby goslings!

I think the 2 goslings in front are "mine".  Behind the 2nd adult are 3, then 1 with the last 2 adults.  These 2 families came out from under a tree across the water while I was getting Shakespeare Homer in for dinner.  I ran for my camera.

Don't praise the dm too much - there is a very, very large fine for
disturbing nesting wildlife.  Plus I would have hip slammed him into next month if he'd messed with them.

Yo Granny Tosca

They are so cute!  I guess she won't sit a second clutch of eggs on your deck.

The little fuzzies are so cute when they first start waddling around but the parents are really protective.  We have a huge gathering of canadians geese on our river drives here in Philly.  Unfortunately some of the sillier geese walk right out in front of the cars with their broods behind them in a line.  It leads to some touching sights as bikers and joggers try to stop traffic to allow them to cross safely.

Congrats on your hatchlings!

Pronker
