i went out for halloween and had a blast and now i am down and out......nothing is helping....i was suppose to be going into a clinical trial but right now it does not seem to be going that way.... i am afraid of what my other options are because i have had cortazone shots and they never worked and i am afraid that the next step is going to be either a nerve block or a pain pump....have any of you had success from either of those....i am also wanting to get to a point that my doc and i find that right thing that works so that i can get off it and have a baby....i had a miscarriage in feburary of this year and my want to be a mom has only gotten stronger....so if any of you out there that read this know of something that has help will you please let me know......thanks

I am so sorry to here how your feeling, I'm in that zone often to.
This is going to sound wierd but I would like to get back to being a mom !
I have three kids and since I have been sick my whole life seems to be the injurys and rsd. My family is not verry supportive at all. They dont understand rsd and constantly look at me funny when I say im hurting, like we would lie right.
But im good at letting it roll off me. I think we all have different situations but if we cand remind each other once in a while that we can do this no amount of sickness is going to take away my one shot at life. We just learn to do things in moderation and find the joy in things we can do. And use a shoulder when needed.. ;)

O dear,,,,,  welcome to the family.  Know that you are not in anyway alone at all in non of this.  RSD  is really complex and each person makes it more complex as the meds react on each person so differently. Honestly is a trial n error find for each of us.  I have the pump and I am so thankful for that.  First med was good.  Now the second n third med is even better for me.  So is really really hard too say what. I still have the blocks done every so often.   But each person is soo different hard too say what or how it will work for you. Blocks n pump together gives me great relief.  Wierd one   am thankful for them.  Hope that you find something that works.  Hoping that answers comes in fast for you.    Keep us posted.   huggzzz n have a great week.                Annie

i understand where u r coming from. i been diagnosed with rsd in may and my life has been put on hold a lot. have not been able to do the things i used to do. sometimes i feel i dont get the support i need from my family. i pray every nite for God to do a miracle and take the pain away and hope that some morning i will wake up a new person. Hang in there.

hi, i am new at this. i was diagnosed with rsd in may from a surgery. i have tried 2 nerve blocks and they did not work. my doctor has changed my medicine several times now and he recommend that i get a stimulator implanted in the back of my neck to help my pain. i am afraid do not know the outcome on that. just hang in there and do research through the net and the advise on this help line maybe that will help you.
