Rebecca,
You will find that college is a totally different environment, as I did. When you discuss your condition and needs with others just let them know the facts of what happens and what your feeling. Let your profs know that you have days you just cant get up and go. Thats the truth and the truth is always the best. As long as youre doing the best you can nobody can say youre not a success. You have a strong will and alot of determination when you set your mind to something, that isnt going to change in the next few days! In just a few short years you will be leaving this part of your life so always keep 'now' in front of you. Enjoy this time right now! You shall face challenges, but you can enjoy those too, remember as you move forward that you are moving forward dear! You have already accomplished so much in your young life amidst astounding obstacles, dont let a little thing like a few more classes stop you now! If you get turned around at school looking for your class, just ask directions, many have had to before you and many will after you and you are certainly not going to be the only one! It will only take you a few days to find your way. You already have good direction in your heart so hang onto that!
Youre a very strong young woman and I know sometimes it may not seem that way to you right now, but you will be surprised how many people you will meet that will not see you as any different than anyone else. You are stepping out onto new soil that is quite unlike high school.
Remember, as Mark Twain said: "Courage is not the absence of fear but it is the Mastery of fear."
You are one person I know that can master the fear, you have already done wonderfully so far, and you walk and talk with grace and finesse! So keep your chin up and stay smiling, things will work out well for you!
