A picture paints a thousand words! Yesterday's saying, I thought that would have been well known. My computer is playing up again, It turns itself off, sometimes in the middle of doing something which takes a while to have to start again. Even turning it on in a morning is hit and miss. Phil was supposed to have ordered me a new button as this one is faulty but he said it never came. Brian says to wait until we get Christmas over and we'll have a word with Phil about getting a new box. I can't back up everything so I will lose quite a bit but it will be worth it to start afresh with no sites popping up for ages whenever I go on Internet Explorer. We have some good losers this week, even half a pound is great at this time of year. Don't forget to fill up with free soups, they will help keep out the cold! Nourishing casseroles are very comforting in the cold weather too and WW have lots of recipes for low point ones, some of which Carole and I have put in our kitchen. Wrap up well if you have to go out, enjoy your day and smile!! Even if you have toi do it through clenched teeth, lol. love Joan |

You are nearly there Carole, it's 'A place for everything and everything in it's place'! Seems Woollies, B & Q, Curry's and MFI are all in trouble. Phil works for Comet but I bet they are worried. But as Brian says there will always be a call for PC troubleshooters as it's such a specialised job, Phil has been studying at a night course in Advanced Computer Technology at Hull University and is hoping for a degree in time. You should see him get to work with a special laptop on his knee and a big box of tricks at his feet, lol. We bought four torch sets which included a big torch on a tripod and other torches such as one on a keyring. Now we find that although the smaller torches have batteries, the tripod one doesn't and needs nine, three for each leg. The torch sets were £14.99 each, nine decent batteries are £4.99 for three so the batteries would come to nearly as much as the torches. I said to Brian, "If they want batteries, let them get their own - they've all got well-paid jobs, lol. They'll be getting something else anyway. I've quite a few cards left from last year and B is having a go at making some on his computer. We also bought four tins of Quality Street for the married grandchildren to share with their partners, that should satisfy them. Do you know Brian gets one for himself every year and I sometimes have the odd one but last year I didn't have any! I still put on weight though because oif the pudding etc. Enjoy your tap, I used to long ago, hugs Joan |

Morning Joan & Carole, Well I'm late this morning as I've been up t the church centre for a coffee and to pick up Jack's gym bag. He is on duty this morning as goes straight from the gym. so the washing is on and I've now got a little me time. Joan I hope that Phil will be Ok but as yu say there should be no problem for him getting an other job. he could even think of setting up on his own. Carole enjoy your tap dancing. Hope it warms up a bit for you. We have alovely sunny morning here so here is hoping it stays that way. Going up town when DH gets back from the centre to do some more Christmas shopping, not got much more to do. Mind you I'll have to seriously think about getting my cards made. Have a good day all. Love Beth xx |

Just realised I forgot the joke this morning so here it is, sent to me by Ann: It could happen to YOU ......be afraid
A little boy goes to his father and asks, "Daddy, how was I born?"
The father answers, "Well, son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said:
"You got Male!" |
