Well, we're down one more stylist. It was the young girl who walked out on me that one day. Now she has left us all a hole, that we are working hard to fill. I had to work alone on Sunday, because the manager wasn't home to get the message she wasn't going to be there, and there was at least 20 names signed in on the sheet within the first half hour of me opening up. Of course more than half those names were undone by the end of the day, and the manager didn't make it in there until an hour before closing. Between the phone ringing, and people walking in, it was just too much for me to bear. This also leaves me Friday and Saturday night by myself. Good thing the manager took an hour break and came back at 5 to work the rest of the night with me tonight! There will also be some switching of schedules tomorrow night too. Tuesday nights, I could pretty much handle. It got me so discouraged lately, that I'm starting to collect phone #'s and email addresses of my customers and thinking of going into booth rental if I could find one. The worst part of it was hearing from the manager that this girl didn't like working with me! I gave this girl everything I had, getting her started in the business and helping her. I did everything in my power all the time to make her comfortable, and make things easier on her. We even used to go to lunch together on Thurdays! I can't even begin to tell you how hurt this has made me. We can't even find anyone who wants to work, no one has applied. I would hate to walk out on the others now, but I can only take so much! |
