Thank you so very much for popping into this message centre to sign in for the month of August, 2007. Your post to this thread signifies not only your enjoyment of this community but also, your desire to remain in this community. While other communities have rigid rules requiring their members to sign in on a weekly basis (or even a daily basis in some cases), Silken Fire's Fireplace has no such requirements. This community was created for people who don't need a bunch more rules in their playtimes... but, we do hope that you will interact with us at some point so that we know you are actually enjoying the community. Often, people join a community and then, are only members because their nicname is in the Member's List. THAT is NOT membership and we will eventually sweep the Fireplace clean of such name-only memberships...

Summer is streaking by and I've yet to take a leisurely stroll in the park (the bylaws enforcement guys said my lil Justus can't go in there.. ) or do anything to enjoy the beautiful weather. I hope my roomies are smarter 'n me in this regard and getting out to enjoy not having to scrape or shovel their weather away...

I want to thank those who have continued to contribute to the growth of this beautiful community with your playful and often, very romantic spirits. Despite almost losing our group earlier this month, we have been so very blessed to be able to continue to grow in life, love and spirit by having this community to come to when we need to laugh, cry or just be crazy... I will never forget those who wrote letters to MSN on our behalf and one incredible lady who actually called some friends at MSN to resurrect our group. From what I hear, MSN was actually "very impressed" at the e-mails the potential loss of our group engendered and the things you all had to say about our lil corner of the Net. We have often said, it is our members who ARE this group and at no time, has it ever been more so than when you rallied to keep us alive. Thank you so very much!!!

So, into August we go... And it's time we got back to some regular chat nights. At this point, I am not aware of where I will be living 10 days from now and I am in the process of a move but soon after I am settled, we'll be doing what we do best.. We're gonna rock this house!!!

- I am still here and doing well...heading into my busy month, lol- August has 3 birthdays ( mine is first, hehe- on the 4th) and 2 wedding anniversities in it for our family - and I will be heading up to see my brother sometime too...but I will be around as much as I can, I promise
