I can't hardly believe that summer is almost really over! Where did it go? My dear Sis is correct.....this has been a summer of changes for so many. I have to say that as always it has been my honor to be a part of such an amazing group of folks here. I can't tell you the amount of inspiration I recieve from sharing our lives.....the openness, the support, the laughter, the shoulders when we need them, the tears we share.....it does a spirit good to know that there are such wonderful people in this world. It is my honor and my pleasure to begin another month here with my roomies, and I look forward to all the many many more yet to come! Have a fabulous month everyone! See you on the boards! |

Well you've all pretty well said it already. It has been a challange but one we've overcome... I think fairly well. Some of us still have some challanges to overcome.... and we will... that's who we are! Anyway... It's me!!!! Signing in!! |

Wow! Silken! You said it all. I know that you have gone through a major overhaul in your personal life. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. You truly are a big huge inspiration to me. You always have been my friend! I'm so glad that I found you again after that ... well ... I won't go into it... but you know what I'm talking about. When I found you... I found all these wonderful people too! What a great wonderful group that you have there my friend! And wonderful assistant managers to boot!!! It has been so good to just let myself loose on the boards... hahaha... with the help of Saint Em!!!!! We have had a blast with those bananas after Andy's post about I forget what but all I remember were those bananas!!! hahaha... Silken... If I ever get too roudy on the boards please don't hesitate to correct my inner child... hahaha... she is the one who plays so freely... hahaha! I can't get over the freedom in this wonderful place. You give us the freedom to just be ourselves! Oh... I forgot... this is only the sign in thread... hahaha... sorry. I'll send you a post. Awww.. All your wonderful comments mean so much... I have always loved our sign-in threads but this one is kinda special with all that's been going on for all of us... We have reached a stage in our existence as people from all over the place where we have come to know one another fairly well thanks to all of your answers to our QOTD's and various other posts that allow your spirits and personalities to shine through... I really enjoy all the times when we start to "play" back and forth in our posts.. and I adore our Chat nights. It is my fervent hope that once I am settled in a new job, in a new home, learning how to play my beautiful guitar, how to speak Spanish and striking up some unusual yoga poses (that only someone whose body is TRULY confused can do), walking my lil white blizzard and moving forward... we can get a lot more of our "silent" members playing... In my heart of hearts, I long for the time when we can actually have a Chat Meet... Many of us would have to save up for it but it would be so much fun to finally be able to meet and spend a few days together camping, dancing... having a few "interesting" drinks... and most of all, hugging each other every few minutes just cuz we can... I think it would be awesome to do something like this in the summer of 2008. We can find a place that is equidistant from the majority of us and work on getting Amadsen here from Denmark so that he can see for himself we really don't all have canoes.... I must focus on my packing today because tomorrow is my last day in the house.. Then it's off to spend a couple of days with Shyann, Ratsolo and my beloved Riley before we set off on our new life... Hergman finally signing in for September... better late than never, I guess. I may be unusual in that this hasn't (so far) been a pivotal summer for me, but there are a couple of weeks to go yet... I put a few irons in the fire just before I went on vacation, and I'll shortly find out if I'm gonna burn myself.
