I think they suck!!! BIG TIME!!!
Yet another revenue-based decision out of a corporation that has not stopped to consider that not ALL "adult" rooms were pornographic or inappropriate and that many friends were disconnected by their decision!!! GRRRR!!!! Moreover, they misled all of the group owners and members about the nature of World Groups (the site they moved the adult rooms to..)! It is pornographic (offensive to some of us) and their chat rooms also SUCK!!!
I don't know what led them to offer free groups when they first did so but whoever made that decision was certainly more attuned to what attracts people to a given site than whoever it was made the decision to turn them away... AND... if you look at the Group Directory, some of the mature rooms remaining are nastier than some of the Adult rooms... Wazzup with that????
MSN had people clicking into their site because they had people-friendly features... I hope they will re-consider and restore the groups that were adult-based but not full of porn... tho' the damage has been done... in no small proportion!
