What Your Sex Dreams Say About You
You dreamed what?! No, you're not a homewrecker, but your sex dreams are a window on the world outside your bed. Here, Gayle Delaney, Ph.D., of the Association for the Study of Dreams in San Francisco, offers the basics in Sheet Psych 101.
Sex with an ex
"This doesn't mean you're not over him -- he might be standing in for someone else. You may have an unresolved issue with that person rather than with your old flame."
Sex in a public place/getting caught
"Anxiety is often the core emotion in these dreams. It may represent discord in a personal relationship or fear of sexual intimacy."
Sex with another woman
"Most women fear it's a sign of repressed homosexuality. But the woman in the dream is usually someone whom you perceive as having achieved more of her personal goals. This may be a symbol of your desire to be on an equal level with her."
Sex with a coworker or an acquaintance
"The sex is often dull because generally you're not attracted to this person. You may be bored with your current life situation or, if it's a coworker, your job."
