I鈥檓 not a big fan of reality shows, but I did watch the season finale of the very first 鈥淎verage Joe鈥?鈥?the episode when it came down to the final two guys. I found it very telling. It was a tough call for the beautiful, charming girl Melana. She really liked both men, and both men obviously adored her. Each was going all out to win her, but in the end she didn鈥檛 pick the millionaire from New York 鈥?who never shaved and always wore casual attire. She picked the student/waiter from Irvine California 鈥?who always shaved and showed up on special occasions dressed to the nines in a sharp suit and tie.
Sex appeal...
Here鈥檚 a very easy rule of thumb for you to remember about your appearance and sex appeal 鈥?whatever you notice and care about in the appearance of the women you鈥檙e attracted to you need to notice and care about in yourself. Yes, it鈥檚 that simple. Forget what you鈥檝e heard about opposites attracting each other, forget the fantasy of a beautiful sexy woman discovering the inner you under the scruffy hair and clothes that have seen better days. Trust me, when it comes to the dating game and attracting the opposite sex it鈥檚 safer to bet on 鈥渓ike attracts like鈥?
It鈥檚 time to step away from the computer, or put down the book, and go take an honest look at yourself in the mirror. It鈥檚 time to take stock of how you鈥檙e stacking up in the image, style, and sex appeal department. Where are you right now versus the kind of woman you lust and dream about? Want to be doing the wild thing with women whose bodies are the caliber of those on the cover of Maxim? Then the only six pack you own better not be in the fridge! Are you drawn to the kind of women who know show off their sex appeal in sophisticated but sexy outfits that not only turn your head, but make it spin? Then it鈥檚 time to make sure your clothes haven鈥檛 stuck you in a past era, actually fit you as you are now, and show you off to your best advantage. Find yourself drawn to women with great shiny hair, perfect manicures and pedicures, and smell fantastic? When鈥檚 the last time you updated your own haircut, looked after your own finger and toenails, and gave some thought to your grooming products and aftershave?
Chances are it鈥檚 been awhile or you wouldn鈥檛 be reading this. The bad news is there鈥檚 work to do, and you鈥檙e the one who鈥檚 going to have to do it (unless you have an 鈥渋n鈥?with 鈥淨ueer Eye For The Straight Guy鈥?in which case I say 鈥済et yourself on the show quick!鈥?. The good news is that we鈥檝e become such a casual nation about our attire and appearance, especially men鈥檚, that even a few small efforts made by you to sharpen up your appearance is going to make you stand out a mile from the crowd in the eyes of women, and yes, I do mean hot women. Regarding sex appeal, ZZ top was right 鈥?"...every girl鈥檚 crazy 鈥榖out a sharp dressed man."
