Just wondering what we all do to help our pains that is NOT a rx. I use a number of things, hot water, heating blanket, food (yes, I know that is not helping anything) What are your ideas :) |

I can relate Avey - I don't post as much as I like to as it sets my arms and wrists right off - I'm ok if I just read posts but if I try to reply to them I end up in trouble afterwards.. but at the same time you want to contribute to the group.. I love this group a whole lot but just wish I could post more often.. Maybe if my doctor helps me enough I can get leveled out some and be able to do more.. Lately I've been almost passing out with the humidity and ended up getting small chest pains and shaking and so dizzy (that was in my own house as it was too hot) and had to go back up to my friends house with air conditioning to come back down to earth (and that took 1 1/2 hours before I could even speak)..It's happened a few times now.. Yesterday I got too hot again and went up into a cool bath tub and the heat coming out of my ears was amazing and had to go to air conditioning again- took me an hour to come back down to earth then.. Anyway, I'm typing too long now but just wanted to share a little.. Take Care, Sharon |

Hello Stephanie, I do not have refrigeraton for air conditioning, just a evaporation system. When there is too much humidity in the air the evaroration system does not work. To keep cool, I drape a wet cloth over my shoulders and turn on all the fans. The wet cloth also helps when I am outside on hot dry days. Haven't found much that helps outside on humid days. Avey |

Hi Sharon and Avey :) With this horrible heat nothing seems to be enough. We do have a/c BUT the fuses blew and it went from 75 to 95 between the time it blew and Honey got home with new fuses. Cold you can warm up in but HOT is just HOT no matter what :( We are finally getting the money from W/C for the pool heater and spa so everyone come on over :) |

I have a heated water bed, electric blanket, and I use a single bed electric blanket like a giant heating pad when not in the bedroom. LinLin |

I bought a sleep number bed about 10 months ago....When I can't take any more, I head up and stretch out on that bed. It is a pillowtop and I bought a pillow top matress pad to make it "more pillowy"...it's heaven and really does help relieve discomfort and pain. Where is was expensive..(but I bought it used on eBay) it was worth every penney! I highly recommend it. mooof |

I just lay down for a couple hrs a day to rest up for the evening. Getting off of my feet and just stretching out makes a big difference in how I get through the day. Sylvia |

Hmmm...for me, I usually end up in the bathtub or a shower and a long nap! If that doesn't help then I end up in physiotherapy. Dini |
