Support From Spirit Author and Medium GEORGE E. DALZELL, L.C.S.W.
So, to begin....... let's take a moment to just relax our energies and focus our thoughts....... and allow the "stuff" from our day to disappear.........
Start by placing both feet on the floor...... hands on your lap..... palms up...... and allow your head to lift up...... which straightens your spine...... and feel a nice flow of energy from the top of your head...... to your toes...... Now...just take a nice... simple...... easy breath... and exhale out...... very gently...... just relax...... ......another breath and exhale...... allow your mind to clear itself...... allow your thoughts to just go away...... just be...... comfortable...... and calm...... at peace...... you are safe here in this room......
Safe to just be...... now...one last breath.....deeper this time....... and exhale gooood....... and allow your energy to focus itself into the room...... and see it mingle with everyone else’s energy as well....... as we become one......... in thought....... in energies........ and in consciousness.
Good evening everyone, and welcome! I want to begin by sharing a discovery with you that relates to tonight's subject, SUPPORT FROM SPIRIT, or we could say INVISIBLE SUPPORT FROM LOVED ONES IN SPIRIT.
In my consultations with so many clients, so often it's the case that they feel in crisis, alone, and disconnected. When, in truth, I propose to them that this is a perceptual illusion. What I suggest to them is this...... that they are, at all times, linked to spirit......that their family in spirit love them deeply, want to help, want to reach out....and are ready to intervene WHEN ASKED.
That discovery, that our perpective begins to shift when we ask for support from Spirit, resonates with people, and so I propose it to all of you now. Some people have many loved ones in spirit, others --- few. Nonetheless, the possibility, the intervention to ask for support from Spirit is available at all times, in all places, and under any circumstances.
I want us all to take a moment to take a personal inventory of our closest ties in Spirit, it may be guides, not specific loved ones. Think on this......Who can you identify that, when asked, may offer unconditional support in the here and now?
If you have any issues which are bringing anxiety, sadness... If you are plagued by worry...I want you to ask them now to provide support, and also to provide some kind of confirmation which you will recognize.. to let them know that they are being of support.
I think it's important to remember that this exercise bears repeating, it is not a "one time only" event, but rather a tool for prevention... most importantly, it is a way to get directed away from the Ego, and towards Spirit when the going gets tough, because so often we CAN'T think ourselves out of problem situations.
I'm often asked, "Who in Spirit would be there to support me?" and I answer, "Who have you lost whom you dearly loved?" Sometimes, they have to go back a ways to remember.. but Spirit remembers! ;) I consider myself fortunate in this life that Spirit has come to the rescue at least as much for me as I have endeavored to help clients in my practice as a social worker.
More of this exercise:
Feel yourself connecting to your loved ones right here, right now... Know that you are not being judged by them.. There are no "I told you so's" coming from Spirit!!
LISTEN-- Allow yourself to be supported. Allow yourself the privilege to receive intervention, love, comfort and aid...
BE-- on the receiving end of love.
For any who feel connected to that Spiritual support, take notice of the identity of who brought you support just now. Who exactly comes to mind? Is it a group of family members?Do you identify the support coming from a guide, or a loving entity you have not met in this life face to face?
Now that you have asked for support, allowed that support to come. Acknowledge that you are grateful. You can send love back, just now there is an abundance of love!
I've been privileged to have participated in science experiments in which the data actually reflects that this support, it's existance, it's scientific fact. The data that comes from "blind" mediumship studies, indicates in favor of the fact, that specific people we know who have passed, have not only survived death, but are available for us to communicate with in the here and now.
I, like you, am presented with conflicts at any given time, every day. It is at that time that we have a choice: 1) go with the Ego, 2) ask for support and then, 3) listen.
The Ego, the realm of conscious awareness, is doing the best job it can! But for the Bird's Eye view, for my money, I'd go w/Spirit's answer to any conflict. It is a process I haven't perfected, but a useful discovery, that when I lack support in my environment, in the form of people, family, friends..... at any given moment when crisis or anxiety or difficult decisions present themselves, I turn to support from Spirit.
If this exercise is difficult, I suggest that you keep asking.....keep asking! It isn't a rescue kit per se, but a series of relationships available, on tap, for support. **** * * * George is a licensed clinical social worker who investigates the phenomena of mediumship and after death communications. Seeking confirmation of this experience, George was led to investigate the validity of world-famous mediums such as James Van Praagh, John Edward, The Scole Experimental Group and their contemporaries with private and group sittings. In the process, George discovered he is capable of mediumistic talent as well as the mediums he consulted. He has appeared as a mental health expert on "LEEZA," as well as numerous radio appearances including "GOOD DAY U.S.A." Public speaking engagements include a testimonial given before the Society for Psychical Research in London at "The Scole Debate."
