Pendulums Pendulums are a form of dowsing. Your subconscious connects to the energies of the universe, and knows the correct answers. Your subconscious then creates minuscule movements that cause the pendulum to swing. Pendulums can be made of anything from a fishing weight tied to a string to a fancy crystal on a sterling silver chain. Or it can simply be a piece of jewelry you wear often. Wood and brass are popular for their energies and properties, as well as stones, crystals, and anything that has enough weight to swing from a cord or chain . The length of the chain should be 7-1/2 inches, which harmonizes with the resonant frequency of the earth's ionosphere (astral plane) which is 7.5 cycles per second.
