| WHAT IS ASCENSION ? All spiritual traditions have spoken of the ultimate goal of meditation. It has been called Enlightenment; Self Realization; God Realization; Nirvana; Cosmic Consciousness; Mukti; Christ Consciousness; Buddhahood; etc. Currently, the term "Ascension" is emerging in our collective consciousness to refer to this goal, so we will use that term for consistency. What, then, is Ascension? Ascension is:
The goal of our individual evolution, and the collective evolution of humanity... it is each soul's destiny. The highest level of consciousness available to us... permanent union with our Higher Self and the Universal Spirit... oneness with all Life. Becoming our highest possible self....gaining the full use of our creative and spiritual powers. Raising our vibration and shifting our perception from limited physical reality to unbounded spiritual reality. Awakening our inner senses and completing construction of our Spiritual or Light Body, thus gaining access to higher spiritual dimensions. A state of permanent peace, joy, and freedom from limitation and suffering. Becoming an instrument of Universal Light, Love, Wisdom, and Power. Playing a greater role of service in the Great Cosmic Plan. Taking our place among the assembly of Ascended Beings from all cultures who have reached this evolutionary pinnacle. Coming Home. Preparing for Ascension Planet Earth and humanity are currently going through an extraordinary shift in consciousness... a quantum leap to a higher, more enlightened state of being. We can go with the flow of this evolutionary stream by preparing ourselves for ascension to the next level of consciousness. Or we can resist the shift. Ascension Meditation The following meditation is designed to simulate the experience of Ascension. It makes use of creative visualization and imagination. - Sit comfortably, reasonably straight.
- Visualize your Higher Self as a human-sized form of brilliant golden-white light just over your head.
- Imagine yourself slowly rising to merge with the Light of your Higher Self... your entire being transformed to brilliant golden-white light.
- Visualize your surroundings becoming brighter and brighter, until there is nothing but a sea of golden-white light... an ocean of Spirit.
- Imagine your consciousness expanding, becoming one with this ocean of Cosmic Light. Remain immersed in the Ocean of Light until you come out of the meditation.
What in the World is Going On???!!!
A Spiritual Talk by Jim Malloy Has life seemed unusually trying lately? Does it seem like just as you get through one trial, here comes another? Have your emotions been more intense, and your reactions more extreme? Have you been feeling a sense of urgency? Has your general state of mind been ballooning from deflated to inflated to deflated again? Do you find yourself asking, "What in the world is going on?!" Believe it or not, this a sign that something very positive is happening. Your trials are the product of an extraordinary consciousness shift that planet Earth and all her human inhabitants are undergoing. This shift has been called "The Planetary Ascension"... "The Shift of the Ages"... "a Spiritual Renaissance"... "the dawning of the Aquarian Age," etc. The essence of it is that we are shifting from our limited, mundane state of consciousness to a higher spiritual state, free from the limitations of our present existence. The limited state we are leaving behind is largely one of fear, separation, struggle, and strife. Our next state will be one of empowerment, love, freedom, ease, and peace. (For a more detailed description, see the definition of Ascension at the top of this page.) What we are currently experiencing is a long, rather rocky transition. This transition began way back in the '60s, and has been escalating in intensity ever since. This metamorphosis is being catalyzed by waves of Divine Light that are pouring into Earth's atmosphere. Every time one of these waves of transformational Light sweep over the planet, Earth's vibration is raised a bit, to a higher frequency. Planet Earth, as a living organism, is actually being elevated to a higher state of consciousness. What effect, then, is this having on us Earthlings? * Every time a wave hits and the Earth's vibration is raised, our vibration is being elevated along with it. This, in effect, forces us to let go of our limited, but comfortable old vibration level, (which we humans naturally tend to resist doing) and requires us to acclimate to the new higher level of vibration and awareness, which can be uncomfortable till we get our footing. This may be compared to acclimating to breathing at higher altitudes in which the air is thinner. * As our vibration is raised, we are forced to let go of our old lower vibrational "stuff"... our limiting beliefs, our charged emotional issues, our dense and toxic physical/etheric energies. As part of this clearing process, our stuff tends to become extremely magnified, so that we must finally deal with it before bidding it farewell. When this is happening, you don't have to look hard to find it... it's generally right in your face. As stated, this transformation process is escalating in intensity. This is due to the waves of Divine Light coming with greater frequency (double meaning intended). It's no accident that you are here at this extraordinary time. You volunteered to be here in order to participate in this great spiritual awakening. We're all in this boat together, going down the evolutionary rapids, There's no getting off the boat, so how can you best deal with the wild ride? Here are some hot tips... - Remember that your trials have a meaning and a positive purpose, and that this transition will not last forever. This is quite helpful for keeping things in perspective. Remind yourself (and others) that another wave of Light must be hitting the planet.
- Meditate daily. Daily meditation is virtually a necessity for facilitating the whole process of raising your consciousness and vibration, and releasing your old baggage.
- Learn to trust in Divine providence and support. Develop the habit of offering your stuff up to Spirit as it comes up... then let it go and surrender to the flow of life.
- Try to see the exquisite perfection and cosmic humor of your situation.
