Final Suit Spell
The final suit in the tarot is pentacles, which completes your yearlong study of the suits. Spend the day examining the cards of the suit of pentacles, and gain a solid grounding in this divinatory system. First, find the Ace of Pentacles in your deck. Set the card on your altar. Burn some incense with a rich, earthy aroma such as patchouli or oakmoss. Then say:
Pentacle, emblem of the earth below,
Teach me whatever I need to know.
Weave a connection from me to the land.
Pentacle, symbol of strength and wealth,
Bring to me courage, success, and health.
Let me wield wisely the power at hand.
In your tarot guide book, read the section on pentacles. Consider the imagery as you let the incense burn down. For the rest of the day, pay attention to any pentacle imagery you encounter. Write about what you see and keep it with your other tarot notes.
