Color and The Astrological Link

First I would like to begin by talking briefly about energy. Everything that exists is energy... and energy is frequencies... colour is frequency... this means that everything is colour-coded because it is a frequency of colour.

Our universe consists of energy as well; this is why our planets have an influence on us. For example, we have the ebbs and flows of our water.

Astrology connects this as well. Since every planet and its position create an energy, the planets affect us. The day you were born also signifies an energy...so let's start with here...

Aries is the first sign and is connected to the Red energy. So all you Aries are Red energy beings and very influenced by this energy!\

Taurus is the Orange/Red person.

Gemini is the orange energy.

Cancer is a peach colour - we call orange/yellow people.

Leo is Yellow

Virgo is Yellow/Green. . .can you see how the colours go in the sequence of the spectral hue?

Libra is the Green energy and the middle colour of the rainbow is the green energy - the balance colour.

Scorpio is the green/blue ray.

Sagittarius is true blue.

Then we move onto Capricorn being indigo (blue/violet).

Aquarius is the Violet energy.

And lastly Pisces is Magenta (Red/Violet).

So now you all know your colour signs... but what does it all mean?

Well if you understand the basics of colour, then you will know that every colour governs different personality traits. When you read about an Aries for example, you will see the connection to the Aries colour of red... is basically the same in the colour/chakra language.

Each colour enhances our mood (feelings, emotions, thoughts, etc.), therefore when you are born under a certain "colour" ray you will exhibit these colour traits. So now let's go thru the different signs again and discuss some of their major traits.

Aries:
Aries is the action person - a born leader - ready to take charge. The red Aries person is head strong (stubborn) and generally expresses a dynamic personality (a note here is that when you are born close to another colour ray then your personality will often pick up traits in that colour as well).

The function of the Red Aries is to connect to the life force... as well as earth's reality and their existence. Often you will notice that the Aries person is very passionate... and the colour red is all about passion and vitality.

The weak side of the Aries is it's ability to be hot headed especially when they are passionate about something and because of their ability to attract they have to be careful not to misuse their dynamic powers.


Taurus:
The Taurus energy is very similar in many ways to the Aries as they both share the Red flame... Taurus is the colour of the Red/Orange energy (some call it scarlet). The Taurus is also very dynamic - except they bring a different type of dynamic energy to the table,
one filled with enthusiasm and joy!

Taurus are playful people... they are also very strong-minded, who are incredible at overcoming any hurdles. Sky's the limit to the Taurus person! Taurus is the most powerful out of all the earth signs and therefore very connected to earthly materials - especially when they can't afford to be... they can be extravagant.

However, they are very dedicated to those they love (just don't make them angry). The Taurus's life journey is to cultivate and increase productivity to bring peace and plenty to humanity... this means they need to find things in life that they can be enthusiastic about for otherwise their flame burns dim.


Gemini:
Gemini is the colour of duality; in the colour language the orange is the energy of opposites. The orange Gemini energy can be very persistent and has the ability to think outside of the box. They make great artists!

Because the orange energy is the colour of opposites - on an emotional side they have to be very careful. They can be very happy one minute and very expressive on the negative side the next (when unbalanced).

The orange energy is a great energy friend in times of distress, as it loves to uplift. Gemini's can be very funny too!

Cancer:
Cancer is the Orange/Yellow energy person. People born under this sign/colour ray are very mentally creative, they are clever but also they integrate a deep passion. They understand the relationship between their emotions and incoming information.

The Cancer person is never boring with this colour combination. The nature of the Cancer is to uplift other and share innovative ideas.

Leo:
Leo is a Yellow energy. Leo's love to learn and are curious by nature, they want to know how everything works and why. Leo's are governed by their solar plexus chakra, which is their mind power. Therefore they can tend to hide their emotions (yellow bellied).

Leo's are also very independent and make great workers (just don t become a workaholic!) Overall the Leo loves to teach others about life and interesting things.


Virgo:
Virgo is a lime green energy (yellow and green). Their strength is their adaptability to new things. . . think of a new leaf on a tree - Virgo's always have new thoughts. Virgo's use the colour green of balance; therefore they are great supporters, because they have the clarity of mind combined with their compassionate and giving nature.

When unbalanced their struggle will be to trust their heart and what they feel rather than rationalizing something because it is the "best thing to do." Libra is the middle sign and the green energy of harmony and balance.

Libra:
Libra is the energy of the heart chakra. . . those born under this sign are very compassionate (very friendly people). They are the peacemakers, however the Libra person can sometimes be too concerned with trying to keep peace or the balance, as they often don't want to upset the boat, therefore they can waver in their decision making.

Scorpio:
Scorpio's are the turquoise energy people, a combination of green and blue energies. They are the energy colour that creates opportunities for change. The Turquoise energy is all about expressing one's emotions, this means that it is the Scorpio's destiny to speak and teach their truth. They make very loyal and loving friends. On the weaker side they must learn to express their emotions and not internally repress their emotions.

Sagittarius:
The Sagittarius energy is the blue energy of the throat chakra. . . another energy who must be honest in their expression, as it is their birthright. Since the Sagittarius are the communicators, they should be in the profession of communication.

The blue person is also the person who helps others connect to their spiritual mission, as it is the colour of the spiritual realm. Blue Sagittarians make the best friends as blue is the colour of trust and loyalty

Capricorn:
Capricorn's are born under the indigo ray (blue/violet). They are the ones who are the reformists. Capricorn's are the sign of mystery - like the midnight sky. They are often drawn to the supernatural.

People born under the indigo ray are very empathic and intuitive. However, they cannot get lost in this energy otherwise they can get depressed and not be able to see there way out to the light.

Aquarius:
Aquarians are the violet people. They have a spiritualizing mind and can be quite creative, as they are connected to the creative and inventive violet flow. It is the birthright of the Aquarians to be in contact with the universe's power, and the new and undiscovered truths; they often are great inventors. However, they must learn to stay connected and grounded!

Pisces:
Lastly, we have the Magenta Pisces person. The Piscean is effective in both body and spirit connections. Their destiny is to help humankind; they can do this thru their great love potential.

People born in this zodiac period have the tendency to be actively involved in many causes. They need to feel connected to their inner guidance or they may feel lost. The magenta Pisces person is here to make a difference thru love!

So that is the colour connections to the astrological signs. Next I want to share with you how you can discover you own personal colour date.

Take your full birthday numbers. . . for example; my birthday is April 6, 1962. April is the 4th month so it =  4. . . the 6th is the day so that = 6. Like in Numerology, all numbers convert into one single digit. So if your day was the 12th you would add the two numbers of 12 to get a single digit number...exampe1 + 2 = 3.

My year 1962 is 1 + 9 + 6 + 2 = 18 which then is added 1+8 = 9 (remember, going to a single digit). . . I then add up all my birth numbers 4 + 6 + 9 = 19 which is then added 1 + 9 = 10 which is then added 1 + 0 = 1.

My personal birthday is the number 1, which is also the colour red. I know that I am an Aries, which is red, and now my birthday is red so I am a double red!

Here are the color associations to numbers:

1 = red
2 = orange
3 = yellow
4 = green
5 = blue
6 = indigo
7 = violet
8 = turquoise
9 = pink or magenta.

All the colours have different meanings, which is too long to discuss at this time.
